  2. I’d recommend shimano spd pedals. However probably get some basic aluminum flat pedals first and get comfortable on your bike. Then if you feel like it, get some spds. Helmet is pretty individual. If they meet all the common safety standards, it’s important that they fit well. I wouldn’t order a helmet online. Go to your local shops and try some on. Make sure you like the way it looks as you are less likely to not wear if you like the look. Be prepared to spend a bit on a decent quality helmet though. Safety is something that doesn’t always come cheap
