Hello all, I’m planning on purchasing touch up paint for this Schwinn Twinn Tandem Deluxe and need help determining what color I have.
SN: BJ805545
According to the serial number look up tools I have found, this bike was manufactured Feb 1973. However, the paint colors listed in the 1973 catalog are: Campus Green, Opaque Blue and Kool Lemon.
Is it possible that this bike was painted a 1972 color since it was manufactured in February? Paint colors listed in the 1972 catalog are: Campus Green, Burgundy and Kool Lemon.
Is this Schwinn’s Burgundy color?
Thanks!

Catalogs and serials don’t always line up exactly with reality. You’re almost certainly correct that this bike was made in 73 but painted a 72 color.

Best choices in order from worst to best from experience.
Nail Polish in a pinch.
Model paints from hobby store. My usual goto.
Auto paint store (not parts store) they can do an amazing job with color matches..pricy but by far the best. They can even drop it in a rattle can if you like.
