Soo, I grabbed a Quill stem adapter to put modern bars on my old kuwahara instinct… But I also have an a 93 giant atx frame i have a kona project 2 fork for.. I’m conflicted as hell, do I build the giant/project 2 up as a gravel bike, or do the kuwahara?

The project 2 came off a small frame so the head tube is QUITE SMALL.. The short stack headset fits nicely though!

I like the retro look of the kuwahara but the giant frame looks pretty slick with the fork and deore lx parts it came with.. Gimme some opinions!

  1. Kuwahara with the appropriate dirt drop bars with the long quill stem. The giant frame you can do whatever with. I’m personally not a fan of putting adapters on classic frames. I’d say get a new 26 fork for the giant so you have more steerer tube to mess with

  2. I would keep building the one in the stand proper with the drop bars and then the Giant make a fun single speed ripper! But thats just like….my opinion, man

  3. Is there a need to stick to one? Sometimes yes, just making sure since you seem to have different plans for each one. I like the Kuwahara and don’t see too many around.
