    Some expensive action cameras are able to capture the steepness or at least they are able to imitate it quite good. But if you don’t want to buy a new one, you can try filming it from the side with a phone

    Maybe another mounting option would also help. You can try a helmet mount, or chin mount with a fullface.

    Not really even joking either, communicating the grade of a trail is a very difficult thing to do in two dimensions.  I’m a professional videographer and editor and it’s a problem that everyone who shoots MTB content has struggled with.

    Unfortunately there’s no easy answer, especially if you’re after POV footage.  Riding behind someone for follow cam footage can help to give a sense of scale and verticality, but GoPro/Insta360 footage is never going to look like how it felt in the cockpit.

  3. Those of us who GoPro know exactly what you are looking at lol.

    I like cinematic but I need to get one of those wide lens to show it without distortion.
