First chain drop at 500km in, two chain links get stuck between the frame protection and the frame and cracked it as well as deforming and pressing the frame protection into the frame.
What do you guys think? Is this in any way on me? Did not even touch the DI2 yet as I was planning to get it inspected after my trip to the canaries. Obviously instantly stopped riding the bike afterwards …
For the mods, looking for a discussion here and opinions, its obviously damaged. Photos were provided to Canyon by a certified mechanic and I will gladly update the case as it unfolds.

When the chain dropped were you seated or standing?
Were you doing an effort at the time and changing gear under load?
Unlucky if you ask me. Chain drops happen – in your case the fact that a couple links stuck together probably made a bigger impact on the frame.
A lot of these lightweight carbon bikes (regardless of brand) are pretty fragile to hard impacts like that.
