
…first time replacing a sealed headset bearing. Seems to have a couple of part numbers MH-P25K, ACB 6808 and they all seem to be around $35ish which seems a bit high. Is that normal? Is this an odd size? It’s for a 1-1/8” to 1-1/2” fork.
Also surprised that it only lasted a little over a year before getting crunchy!

Headset bearings are pricey, especially the 1-1/2”. I recommend a high quality grease with installation, I like Chris King Blue. You will be quite pleased with it’s performance and longevity. The bottom bearing gets everything the tire throws at it. Best bet is a grease seal.
