  2. This might be a ‘post went completely over commenters head’ moments but FYI if you didn’t know… bikes are only actually allowed on bridleway NOT footpaths in the UK. So the literal answer to your questions is left, because you shouldn’t be on the footpath 🙂 sorry if you knew this and the comment is unhelpful, just thought it was a good opportunity to share some information that may not be known by everyone (I certainly didn’t know myself when I started riding)
