This post is meant to be light-hearted. The rim has a new small hole, but nothing a fresh layer of tape won’t fix. The only real bummer is I was trying to get another month out of these tires (tyres) before replacing them for race season.
Clean the tire out really well around the hole and put a real tube patch (one applied with vulcanizing fluid) over the hole and see how it runs. A tire boot might accomplish the same thing but they don’t deform as well as a patch.
