    no, the chain goes on the otherside of the tab. very very common mistake, i’ve done it quite a few times myself

    now why shimano RD have that tab? I dont know

  2. Unscrew the bottom jockey wheels, and you should be able to get the chain on the correct side. You will need to tighten both jockey wheels after.

  3. I found out that if you leave it like that, the tab will come off eventually and you will never route the chain wrong again.

  4. Basically everyone fucks that up at one point or another, and those who claim they don’t are probably lying 🙂

  7. Chain is on the wrong side of that tab. I’d call it a rookie mistake except I’ve been working on bikes for 20 years and still do that sometimes.
