Joining the ranks of the new 4130 owners. Wanted something I could slap some bigger tires on and fenders. Ended up going too big with the tires though so the fenders don’t fit, so I’m still just using the same temporary style ones I have on my other bike.
But that’s okay! This thing is a blast to ride. It’s my first time having a bike capable of tackling some more dirt/gravel style trails. The plan is to do some bikepacking trips as well once it’s a little nicer here in the PNW so being able to get racks/bags on it was also a selling point. Even having bottle cage mounts is a plus. Using velcro cages on my other frame works but isn’t ideal.
Crankset, pedals, and bottle cages were all parts I had already. Silver cranks would be best obviously but I didn’t want to spend anymore when what I had is in good shape and the ratio I wanted.
