My dad bought this bike new back in 1992. It’s been in storage for a few years and I’m planning on bringing it with me as my only bike when I move into an apartment in the near future
Today I started by swapping on some Kenda K-Rad 26×2.3” tires I had on a dirt jump bike I built up and never really ended up using much, and then threw on some fresh brake pads as the ones on it were very hard and didn’t provide much stopping power. I also noticed the cam on the quick release seatpost clamp was very worn down and I couldn’t tighten the seatpost as much as it needed, so I just replaced it with an allen bolt
Took it for a quick spin at my local singletrack trail and all I can say is I’m glad modern mountain bikes exist lol. I’ll likely be using this bike mostly for street riding, but it’s good to know what it handles like on rough terrain
