I got a bit crazy on eBay and hauled this project in today. Why would someone paint over the “Super-Competition” label on a “Super-Competition” bike except to make a knockoff? With the exception of the obvious crankset, front hub, and the rims, everything else lined up with the 1980-82 brochure. How can I know this really is a PXN10 all 531 frame?

The frame is legit ,the fork looks like it’s fits a 26 inch wheel….. Looks too short to be the stock fork
531 tubing, good indicator, the Peugeot component standards/threads are a bit annoying though
man, this pearl white is as beautiful in person as it looks in the pictures? I wouldn’t mind at all no stickers. And I have to say, I hate white bikes (childhood trauma, my first assault – I was robbed) but I love that bike. Just check the fork, service the rest, do some cleaning and you got a really nice bike
Measure the tubing. Reynolds only came in certain specific sizes
