Just converted my old 3×8 to 1×11 and followed the spacer recommendations for bottom bracket per shimano BB MT-501 for a 73mm BB Shell. This is one 2.5mm spacer on drive side but this is what chain looks like on biggest gear(50t). Is this normal? Never had a 1x bike before.

That’s a bit too much I think. Remove the spacer.
