Hey everyone, I’m planning on doing a bike trip through sub-Sahara Africa while visiting Rwanda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Namibia and South-Africa somewhere around late 2025. Since I have no long-term bicycle touring experience I will have enough time to gear up, exercise and mentally prepare.
My question to you guys is: do you think this is a good route? I want to see both east and west coast, but I’m not sure whether this is a relatively safe route or if there are certain places I must avoid or see. Also any experienced bikers who’ve been here who have any tips? Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks in advance!

I follow a woman on instagram who just completed almost this exact route, possibly a few deviations. She got caught up in Sudan and had to ditch her bike but managed to get a new set up and restart from after Sudan.
