Hi all, looking at options for a commuting shoe for winter. My trainers are getting destroyed and are always wet. Anyone have experience with this shoe/sandal? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  1. Are you looking for dedicated commuting footwear for the winter?

If you can leave “work” shoes at work, the answer might be to get some Northwave winter cycling boots, the same I’d recommend for anyone commuting by bike in winter, Brompton or not.

Combined with clip-less pedals, you’d have a better commute with warmer feet. Also, mudguards make a massive difference.

  2. Yeah, pair of shoes kept at work and some sort of waterproof boot (hiking, rain, etc) for the wet road days is the move. Even with fenders your shoes will get over spray and dirty/wet.
