I would pass. This thing looks like it would be over 20 years old and I don’t think that is worth taking a risk on in terms of safety when it wasn’t properly cared for in the first place.

No, GT’s are not what they used to be, UNLESS you buy a real GT, or Craig Turner frame, but they’re pricy, but worth every penny.
Just stay diligent & keep searching on FB Marketplace, I scored $2k bmx builds of there for $280, as well as got other bikes worth over $1k for $150-$200, you want something that’s full chromoly sealed bearings, double wall rims & as many aftermarket parts as you can find on 1
