The Cgi looks horrible
B 17s cost 400k at the time with a crew of 8 or so, a dehavilland mosquito cost 40k, crew of 2 with same payload and range but 170 mph faster and 15000 feet higher max ceiling, it's losses were like .5% in the whole war, b17s could expect 5-8% losses every mission and basically dropped bombs across 4×4 square mile zone on the ground and pretty much never hit a target only randomly destroying surrounding cities and infrastructure,
Not all of these have to be flak36 they can also be 12,8cm guns or even twin 12,8cm with sem autoloader like you can see on most AA bunker towers
This looks so bad compared to BoB.
Saint Michael’s Prayer is based
so fake
Many of flak gun soilders were teenagers from hitler youth
wow
Только амеры могли снять эту дичь сказку.
Meanwhile the crew
"Hit"
50 SL + 10 XP
Romantic war 😂
Fun fact, the Germans also used 105 and 128mm Flak against bombers.
Что за фильм???
Super wild to think that Pope Benedict himself actually operated the flak cannons as a kid in WW2.
I’m Dutch and this location is called “De Kinderdijk” in the Netherlands:, its the longest line of authentic Windmills in the world, a very nice location to visit if you are visiting our small country 😁 to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinderdijk_windmills
Apart from the FIRE, the German anti-aircraft crew doesn't speak any German 😀
The ball gunner was the luckiest bastard that i seen
I thought air-defence in WWII without fighter plane is completely useless and something we don't worry about…… I was wrong
Towards the end of the war. The airforce worked out that it would take 30 seconds for the Germans to range-find, do the ballistics calculations, fire the AA gun and for the shell to get upto such a high altitude. All the B-17 pilots had to do was to make a slight deviation in course and altitude less than every 30 seconds.
the bomber fleet have a set pattern of making course changes every 5 to 10 minutes EXACTLY to avoid arriving in a flak barrage location at this delayed time between shootings and grenade explodings..
Why dont I see that here in this show ?!?!?!
I can’t watch this stuff anymore. I used to be super into world war 2 on the history channel back like 20 years ago but now everything is like so unrealistic with the dei. I’m always expecting a female pilot, or a Mexican gunner, or a black lieutenant in a world war 2 setting it’s just not true and I don’t think the history channel would have told it other wise.
what is the name of the film? tell me please
When I watched "Catch 22" with my girlfriend, I had to explain the explosions in the air. It was so far removed from anything she'd ever thought about, she didn't get it on the first try.
They needed a scene like this, showing the guns on the ground.
What is the film and where can you watch it ?
My mother saw as a young girl (8 years) American pilotes who were shot down over the north of Holland (Friesland), they were captured by the Germans, but the women and girls waved at them, shouted of joy of just seeing them. And then the German soldiers kicked them away.
11 minutes. Aw, dats nutin
How can a series costing 250 million have such awful and obvious CGI?
I always liked how the german crews and weapons are always noobs in every fkin american movies 😀 yeah the flak88 couldnt shoot down a single plane in the whole WW2 😀
What soundtrack is used in this scene?
Worst part of this episode, them stealing the throwing the salt shaker over the head bit from dumb and dumber
I love how the show accurately depicts the german flak crews as luftwaffe ground personnel with their blue uniforms, rather than the standard heer army uniform
first time seeing using these guns against aircraft. is this true? have they really used it?
0:36 the St Michael Prayer for anyone who wants to know. It is cool to hear it on such a big show.
Me and the boys on a class field trip to the aviation history museum.
Movies name please 😢by
