I’m looking at buying a secondhand Blue CX 65. I believe it is a 2012 model year or so. I see that they’re a boutique brand out of Colorado but am not familiar with them. Are they quality bikes or known for anything? Think this is a good deal at $400? I’d be using it for gravel races even though its a CX bike.

That bike will likely have a high bottom bracket if it’s a CX bike. That may or may not bother you. You can pedal through turns better but CX feels a bit less stable to me. It will probably have a steeper head tube and less tire clearance than a modern bike. It also has a pretty small cassette it appears so your lowest gear will still be pretty stout for steep climbs.
Personally I would not go for that bike and $400 sounds a bit steep. But whether it’s worth it to you or not is personal and can depend on the componentes and what shape it is in.

It is a proper cx bike of the era. I would try to get the price down because this is far from a seller’s market.
I would think that is a starting point 300 would be good less would great.
