[Applause] If there’s one rider that needs no introduction it’s Peters again after the 2019 Tour de France he’s opting to use the specialized s-works bench as his bike of choice for most of the stages so let us talk you through a few of the parts so
As we said this is the S where expansion it’s got the top spec carbon fiber and it’s been designed using supercomputers to be as aerodynamic as possible but to stay as light as it potentially can be as well and we’re talking for is 56 centimeter bike here probably around
About 7.3 kilograms so it’s above the UCI weight limit but for an aero bike it’s pretty competitive so as I said it’s a 56 centimeter and what we’ve got here is a few other measurements so Peter rides a seventy five point three centimeter saddle height there’s a
Whopping 140 millimeter stem so it’s a super long setup so there’s roughly from the tip of the saddle to his handlebars is about sixty two and a half centimeters so it’s a super aggressive position it’s got a retool fit top cap so it shows that he’s had bike fit so
This is a position that really really suits him but for most of us it’s probably way too aggressive it’s using a standard Shimano dura-ace di2 group set and this is hydraulic disc brakes like the rest of his Borah hands growth team they’re on complete discs for all of the
Tour so that’s the Avengers the tommix all of the bikes they’re going to use as I said it’s a standard Shimano dura-ace group set so we’re running a 54:42 chain set so a big chain set up front combined with an 11:28 cassette and he does use a one hundred seventy two point five
Millimeter crank arms as well Shimano pedals so we’ve got the complete Shimano kit on there but the rest of it is pretty much in-house from specialized so specialized has their wheel continent which is Robel and for the next couple of stages Peters opted in to use the deeper 64 millimeter
Of row valve carbon wheels so super super deep so this should really really suit those flat stages super tires so you specialized turbo tires here as well and these are a 26 millimeter width so it’s quite a wide fit but the Venge will take up to a thirty two millimeter tire
So if you’ve got couple stages or some other rougher terrain like a few of the actual main top finishers Ron gravel he might opt to go for a wider tire on there and if we go back to that front end this is their specialized new stem and it’s reputedly one of the
Stiffer stems on the market which is pretty much why Peters actually running it he used to always run in zip stems because they were super stiff this time he’s going for that 140 millimeter specialized stem there’s sprint shifters as well to give him those additional points of contact for shifting gears
During a sprint without taking his hands off the drops and going up to the settle we’ve got specialized very mini very saddle so that’s his saddle of choice a couple of neat features of the bike that do set it out from the the crowd underneath the bottles in the tacks
Bottle cages here there’s a bit of grip tape there that has been added to make sure those bottles stay in place no matter where he’s riding what he’s doing he uses a Wahoo computer that is one of Bora Hansbrough’s partners and that’s on a little modified bar fly mount so it
Looks like it’s a little carbon fiber match there’s a super neat mount and as we know that computer that wahoo is pretty Aero so that keeps in with the rest of the bike and we can’t leave today without pointing out the paint work on this so this is one of Pete’s
Again very very custom paint job so none of the other riders have this it looks very very understated but Peters name is on the top here so we know exactly whose bike is on here and underneath is his classic logo will see which obviously is a reference to whether or not he’s going
To be able to gain those stage victories or the green jersey again in 2019 so there you have it this is Peters against specialized s-works Benj for the Tour de France [Applause]

It's amazing how all the cycling presenters are pushing that aero bikes can be lightweight. Maybe b/c we saw the pros using lightweight bikes in time trials?
