Looking for a good way to keep the rust away. Tried it with wax and u can see in the picture how that worked๐ wanted to try a couple of layers of linseed oil, open for suggestions.

Clearcoat is the way. Get some 2k clearcoat+hardener spray. It gives a *really* nice shine you dont get with bare steel. I’m thinking of stripping my frame and going back to just clearcoat because is just such a unique look.

Clearcoat works, but personally, it kinda ruins the metallic look for me, especially if it’s a clear powder coat. Plus you’ll still eventually get some rust spots/patina under the clearcoat over time.

Try some matte varnish, it worked for me

Owatrol would probably work pretty well, you even have the option of “freezing” the corrosion as it is right now.
Boiled linseed oil is the OG
