Guys, thanks for your comments on my previous post – I think an AXS “double mullet” might be a good solution for me. FWIW, I regularly do sometimes steep (>15-20% grade) and long (100+ mi) bikepack/gravel rides and need a 0.75 or so gear ratio so my old skinny legs can handle this kind of thing. I’m on a 2x GRX setup right now that gets me to 0.73 which is great, but I want to switch to AXS for various reasons. I like the range of a 2x bc I have a cadence bias.

So.. the SRAM Force AXS [wide](https://bikepacking.com/gear/sram-force-axs-wide/) (43/30 and 11-36T) can get me to 0.83 which isn’t bad. But can we get crazier?!

**Question:** Can I run a double (2x) Force AXS 46/33 in the front with an Eagle (MTB) AXS rear derailleur and a SRAM or Shimano MTB 11-44ish cassette? Or even a SRAM wide front + SRAM Xplr rear? Has anyone built up something like this?
