Hi all, quite frankly, I dont know a great deal about Mountain bikes and I’m looking to buy a secondhand, entry level, semi-decent MTB which I’ll mainly use for XC, trails and general riding, but I’m feeling a little out of my depth knowing what to choose.

I’ve been looking at a Specialized Status 160 (£1000 with some upgrades), Merida onetwenty 600 (£975, 2019 model, with some upgrade I believe) and the Merida 160 7000 (£1500, 2021 model with upgrades)
I’ll post links to each bike below.

I was hoping to get some input really, just see what people’s opinions on them are, or maybe recommendations/tips on what to look for?

Many thanks for any help/guidance you can offer

ETA: I am (was) currently riding an old hardtail Kona Cindercone, but it needs some money spent on it to get it ridable again, and ideally I would like something a little more comfortable on rougher terrain- which is why I’m looking at full suspension MTBs. My budget is around £1500.
