After watching Lewis Buchanan’s video about an idler bike repeatedly dropping the chain, (linked below) its got me second guessing whether I want to purchase the new forbidden druid.
Can anyone share their experience with this bike?

It seems to be very bike specific, so not an issue on all high pivots. A small oversight in the design of the linkage could be why it’s happening to that trek.
Anecdotally, I’m going on my 3rd season with a kavenz vhp16 and I’ve never had a chain drop once. I’m in Utah and some of the stuff we ride would more than likely shine a light on an issue of that sort. I can’t say I know anything about forbidden. But if chain drop was an issue with them specifically, I’d imagine you can find plenty of examples by now.
Trek issued a Service bulletin for the new slash after this video came out and it solved all these issues people were having. It was a spacing issue on the idler.
Check out Pinkbikes bike of the year video about it if you’re curious.
