  1. I’d go for the Stumpy between these two. If the Trek seller doesn’t know what year it is, they probably haven’t kept up with maintenance. And it could be stolen.

  2. For such little difference in price, get the new Stumpjumper with a warranty. The Trek is used, no warranty and probably will need service or repairs soon if it was ridden regularly. And the parts it has are only one step up from what’s on the Stumpjumper.

    Go direct sales , get a new bike to your door vs either of those.

    Lots of brands do pure online sales and are cheaper.
