Bike does feel a lot lighter but not rode it yet even started it yet oh let’s crack on see a b just got out sun loving it first thing you do Noti think with this is that talk now that this has got between 2,000 and 4,000 which the other don’t get me wrong

All the other gs’s have been talking at them RPMs but this has got the addal extra bit there’s no back box on here phase there there’s no back box so she got lean on it so twist it should be off the back I don’t know but yeah it’s uh just

Just sat here now it is very GS like I don’t know you got say there a GS the suspension does feel a bit plusher hang on F just doing a bit of filming the gearbox they have made a massive Improvement uh the quick shifter hang on there we Go the shifter now is absolutely seamless and the blipper let’s go down yeah the blip is so so smooth yeah but like I said that 3,000 to 5,000 anywhere around that part there that’s where I can feel the difference uh we’ve had the 1250 as well we OB you

Know we had the 1250 Adventure the HP which we told around Europe on uh that would great bike this just feels like a really lightweight version of it obviously if it was us we’d get the one with the bigger screen but the thing is with these new gs’s now apparently uh

You can really customize them now where they had the low chassis height one they don’t anymore it’s all about suspension damping and that uh but I think the world your oyster or your Banker count oyster so what we’ll do we find somewhere nice pull over we’ll show you around

It yeah let good out D that is so strong and then down box fourth third yeah he’s uh that mid-range now is amazing yeah let’s get that’s set the piss out so two and a bit thousand in third it is a lot stronger you be careful when it’s not your bike and the

Asking about this compared to the 1250 the 1250 compared to 1200 and I’m no BMW fan by by any stretch I just think they make great toing back to the gs’s whether you’re going Offroad or whether you’re not that’s that’s pretty much relevant there I don’t see the GS really as an off-road

Bike in that in that respect it’s just a a great Touring bike just comfortable for me let everyone to their own in it got it’s proper greasy everywhere let’s not be silly oh yeah seamless though so yeah this is the trophy version uh not a great deal of kits on

It except the standard stuff which comes with them all it’s got a little assist on the Apparently now all the new gs’s they’ve actually got bigger Master cylinders thicker cables apparently it kills the brakes a lot quicker if you’re if you’re hard on the brakes I’ll show you something else in a

Minute I’m going let should we give it a little play hang on but third there hold on yeah and I’m presuming that’s a shift light then you see that then folks I let good GE so we can see it yeah there got a shift light that’s obviously because the bike’s not running

You sorry Richard you have to see that shift light again but it’s got that much T now you can literally just cruise around in any gear it’s 9° at the moment now Su It is Well we on 20 to 3 another hour it’s going to start dropping dramatically and

We’ve still got a ride home so we’ll find so pull over and we’ll show you around it see there we have it folks 1,300 trophy what was it like on the B love I’m not taking my lid off was cold it was scary so she’s no back box

Obviously you can get the ones with the bigger seats if you get different packs uh the springloaded on the other ones as well so you just spring it down move it back and it can be like a bench seat as well uh there is loads of things

Bloody feels really hard working feels really hard working apparently the subframes in three parts so we do drop it it’s not the end of world uh one of the things you will notice if you’ve had old gs’s top of the Fork’s now solid on the old ones you know it went dead

Narrow and the boings were in the top they changed all indicators are in the on guards if you get the I think it’s the Ino pro pack you can get the indicators to sit back in there either sides you have normal indicators on uh tiny screen I’ll be

Honest when it’s down that’s got to be Offroad though what it is good it is like like riding a super naked then which just hand and job there and job uh where we going with this eh where we going with this Lan job eh what’s happening it’s all gone wrong they’ve

Now made that bigger so fits most phones now give your phone a minute watch this not fit in now let’s have a look so leair lifts that up yeah in the last GS that wouldn’t fit in it was just n you could just shut it but it squashed it you lift that up

Under there H tap the screen USB charging that under there if you get the ones with the decent paniers they do come with the heated seats and inside the paniers there’s USBS inside the paniers as a lot of people have mentioned there’s no single B light anymore it’s just these two not overly

Convinced with that some people love it some don’t not overly convinced I like it fair likes it I’m not overly convinced uh that now is a flex plate under there so that’s why uh it absorbs the flex the levers are FTI adjust multi- adjustable FTI multi

Adjustable you just move that it go out try and say that when you’ve had a few oh yeah ful multi adjustable little tiny can there apparently the engine’s that efficient doesn’t need a giant can don’t need a girthy can what we were saying about that weren we how that

That so now with the center stand that that oh yeah that’s how it is when it’s all folded away so if you look quick it looks like it’s not even got a center stand on pull that out there’s your for Center Stand Down proper girthy job quick shift

Does lows better well I find it is anyway especially the down shift the blipper the blipper is really good and it has that on the tank now so you do I put a skanky tank pad on which we do like don’t we that is handy I do like

That do like that but Sport Wheels as you would know uh look great paint it ass for clean as we know as we well know uh obviously BMW labored calibers which are actually breno if you look inside as always you just put a that a weird BMW

Logo thought they’ have put some a bit better on that but if you look inside they are just Bros as they always as they always are that lights uh I don’t know it is growing on me a bit I’m not I can’t say I’m convinced at the

Moment but it is growing on me a bit but it’s definitely a definitely a GS now you probably wonder why we’ve T this trophy out and we’ve not took one of the bigger ones out I know they’ve got a triple B with the electric screen all

That all that kind of gobbins it wasn’t available I just can imagine everybody’s testing them at moment everybody wants to Che one out uh now remember so if you look at this now got a burger button there that’s the official term it’s a burger button so we press that you get a burger

Delivered to you no you don’t so that’s the burger button now so we press that everything’s now adjustable so where before you did have you had your road mode you had dynamic dynamic Pro uro now you can also change all the damping settings I think it’s plus two minus two

Out the way so you can you can adapt it to yourself if you are that way inclined I’m not we do tend to just leave things as they are don’t we yeah yeah I I get it set up right and then just leave it and we’ve told Europe to or luggage and

We just leave it as it is I’m I’m all right with stuff like that yeah the GS 1300 trophy loving it loving it I do like this finish which is all right not sure about them BMW stickers on Caliper not not a big lover of them

What the big big red BMW looks like it’s an eBay China job oh yeah yeah cuz they are Bros obviously you can see inside but that big BMW stick not a not a massive L of there you can oh no you can’t take yeah cuz now the standard one comes

With cast Wheels obviously spokes uh for me I think they look better but at a pain in the ass to clean cast wheels are do to clean that’s the got the same finish that’s the same finish there as that so A paing it’s got to be a pretty hard

Wearing oh that’s the idea behind it so we have ones with electric suspension uh over 30 mph it raises up under 30 mph it drops down and when you put the stand down it raises the back end up and then when it’s onto the center stand it

Raises the front end up so it makes it really easy to get on a stand probably cost you about 6,000 million pound like you know what I mean she’s like that time why wind up I don’t want to wind I mean like look at you and not the bike

Sometimes when you’re talking see I’m not looking at me cuz I’m not had a shave out dead scruffy that’s why she’s not to her offing out the shave how we laughed how we laughed should we get it back on the road let’s get it back on road cuz as you can see

The sun is starting to dip now and you well it’s just we’ve just lost a degree just St here yeah so it is going to drop feel the cold and we still got to get and we still got an hour ride home and we’ got to get changed we got to go to

Uh oh apparently as well that’s now double skinned the mud guard now at the back the uh it’s you said the all GS have always had them they’ve always had them this now apparently is double skinned and forms some sort of Venturi wind effect so now rather than the

Coming up all over your back it’s supposed to suck it in now apparently suck it in it’s all going wrong this is it Folks a few people said it’s sounding different to me it doesn’t sound a great little different than the 1250 it has got this like worry electronic noise but one of the things you will notice I’m got to stand up a bit if you look down now the cylinders are Level now

Opposite each other all the other ones were offset weren’t they so we had OCD and used lock down and while sudden it was further further away than the other as is on mine that’ll uh that’ll please the OCD in people that will so there’s the difference forking size there’s ours there’s the

1300 it’s a good J small in it it is a fa bit smaller light but there’s a new key as well that’s the new key the central locking you press that the Green Flash tells you that the batch is okay in the key oh one of the things you have

Noticed about it the burger button just that let you hang on let’s put it back on some screen on yeah so the Burger button if you press that you can then decide what setting the you want to operate off that so you want it on uh grip heating which

It is now set that off then you press that and it tells you what grip what heating you want your grips on one two three for that base you just select what you want that to be on the screen all the time uh maybe a bit of a gimmick I

Don’t know I don’t know to be honest I was all right with like I was e grip button there I was all with that I didn’t mind it but yeah so there’s the difference between the two 1300 and the old 1200 anyway bre time for you I I looked before you can

Make it bigger and smaller don’t to push it out you can have a sit on it this at this that be a bit wider that I I the on that supension look at that got air ride in it ride suspension you can adjust it on the fly

So as you’re riding along you can just are awful there we go oh my god look look at the left ready that’s what she said there we go right I didn’t realize it was so it was so long there long oh you’re small well yeah for one Then Well folks that’s us done look at it it is now well just gone quart to five it’s pretty more black now and it’s gone down well it’s actually gone up to 7.5 it was 6° for most of the way home fa not got wins again on she’s for all stiff so be

  3. I abslutely adore this time of year and the way the light reacts with and reflects off, the beautiful leaf and foilage colours. Even your truely beautiful Plum sorry, Red wine moto gear blends in well with nature. You looked good girl!
    The green Beemer in the doorway looked quite nice, but that doesn't get away from the fact that it's a BMW 👎.

  4. The Adventure bikes are starting to gain popularity over here. But in my area large displacement cruisers still rule, I have a 1500 Suzuki and it is considered small now. Anybody I talk to about adventure bikes love them and say they are more comfortable for long trips. The center stand is great thing that modern bikes are missing. Great video and love the review!

  5. These new 1300’s are really nice, was looking at the TE version and I think it has better seat and screen than the trophy, trying to get a test ride is the only problem. I think they look much better in real life than photos.

  6. Their pricing in Canada is out to lunch now…. I bought a nice used 1/2 ton F150 4 x 4 extended cab truck for less than the new GS bike… I think the older model was more substantial and in my opinion it looked way better. Now the GS looks like all the other ADV bikes. That older front end was one of it's key features in my humble opinion. The R18 models in Canada are a total flop, they were 50% off to move them this year…

  8. Nice review! Although I appreciate the GS boxer becoming lighter, smaller, more sporty, the 1200, and 1250, just look more the business of the land rover, equivalent, of a bike. More chunky, and durable, ruggered. BMW should retain the old model, as an optional variant.

  9. I have managed ride motorcycles from A to B in all weathers for over 50 years , without all this unnecessary tech & elecky gubbins , I am sure I can manage without it now . All my bikes have a quick shifter , blipper & cruise control ,it’s called my left boot & left & right hands . This bike will appeal more to tech nerds , & those who think they need 1300 cc to cope ,with all the 20 mph roads ,that keep cropping up. Deffo not for old skool bikers like me , who can’t even be arsed to change the time set by the factory ,never mind mess around fiddling with TFT screens & settings . These modern BMW ,get a thumbs down 👎 but you & Faye can have a big thumbs up for the channel 👍

  10. I've been on an Arizona 125 for a year now, following on from Faye's own jaunts on one. I'm feeling like I've grown out of it though (5000 km done). Do you have any suggestions for a suitable upgrade, if I were to do the test to get a proper motorbike license? A sensible step up from an Arizona, basically.

  11. Picked up a 2017 gsa here this year very nice to ride but still not as comfortable as my Harley ultra limited. Lot of noise coming from front I find annoying. 😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦🍻how’s the new one for noise?

  14. I quite like the horse passing as opposed to the annoying cagers. But as always LOVE the moto content and your ladies input. She said enough talking let’s ride! So in reality she “isn’t scared” she likes and trusts her man’s pilot skills! 👍
