I tried the same thing, loved it for a ride or two but it was a little much. Love your colors!
Yo, look into harlequin wrapping. Also, if you try this same thing with cloth tape then hit it with shellac, it’ll kind of subdue the colors. I feel you if you want to keep it understated though.
