  1. They don’t look too bad. I would put some kind of touch up paint on them so they don’t corrode. Sweat is awfully salty.

  2. That’s just paint. You can put some clear nail polish over it if you want to avoid the (not very large) risk of further damage or you can just ignore them. On steel I would cover them for sure but on aluminum (like your frame) in most cases it really doesn’t matter.

    Worth mentioning, I have a marin sq3 l, best bike I have owned. But the paint chips so easily!

  4. If you’re okay with how it looks, it’s fine.

    Canyon used to have custom paint where they make it look like the whole frame is covered with chips. I can’t imagine it was outrageously popular, but still.

  5. They are what are called Bargaining Chips. Useful for bargaining the price down on a 2nd hand bike
