Can’t work this out. Norco optic c3, ridden about 40hrs.
Starts about 20 mins into a ride.
If you put the bike on a stand before riding it’s quiet.
Have replaced the chain and tried spinning the cranks without the chain on – seemed a bit gritty.
Any ideas?

Sounds kinda like the chain trying to climb up a sprocket then falling, is your derailleur for sure dialed and true ?
