About a month ago I fell in love with MTB and got a Polygon Siskiu DSE, and have essentially been riding it on and off every other day. I did a lot of reading into cleaning/maintenance and decided on a once a week cleaning/re-lube schedule. Which for me roughly equated that to roughly 3 rides (~1:30 long rides with roughly ~17-20km) before each clean/lube. I don’t think its that I don’t clean well its just that I didn’t clean/lube it after every ride… evidently…
When I was reading up on how-tos back then, it seemed that some people were cleaning after every ride, at least a quick clean which I think I might need to start doing to prevent this from happening again. I was wondering if I should just wipe it down with a cloth and relube? or just wipe it down? or degrease the whole chain after every ride? (I think ill just buy a new chain monthly than do this, heh). For context I live in a humid environment (SEA) and the trails here are fairly dust dry. Any help/tips appreciated, thanks!

Chain clean is a religion. Everyone is doing what he wants. The best way is to try the different approaches and to check if you see the difference for you.

Degreasing after every ride would be a waste of degreaser and time. Just hold the chain with a microfiber cloth and spin the cranks. Clean both the rollers and side surfaces. I personally lube about every 50-60 km but it ofcourse depends on the weather. All you have to do is put a drop of oil on each roller, spin the cranks a dozen times so the oil gets inside and wipe off the excess so the dirt and grime wont stick as easily.
Also, take the chain off the front chainring and give it a wipe both after cleaning the chain and after lubing. Do the same with the derailleur cogs.

Dry and dusty is the best kind of environment for a chain. Maybe aside from riding on road. The bit about deep cleaning your chain after every ride is in regards to riding slop and mud that would act as a grinding paste.
Instead of treating your chain as something disposable, I’d get a chain checker to monitor the wear and something like a chain pig to make the cleaning more enjoyable.
You absolutely don’t need to worry though, that drivetrain is pristine
