When I decided to embark on this journey i’ had never ridden a motorcycle in my life I’ve been asked quite a few times both before and after the trip why I was doing it and um the simple answer is I kind of just wanted to do something

Am brainstorming what kind of crazy adventure travel experience I could embark on I stumbled upon the YouTube channel itchy boots some of y’all might have seen her channel before basically it’s this crazy lady who rides her bike all around the world and I thought to myself this is pretty

Cool and I thought back to my friend who had motor Moto camped his way up the Continental Divide from Texas to Canada so that was it I settled on riding my motorcycle to the southern tip of South America USA Tio Doo Argentina I thought I could pull it off

Well um so I had my bike and all my gear I took Harley-Davidson’s Rider course which is a fantastic course by the way I’d highly recommend it to anyone who’s wanted to get into riding or for people who already know how to ride but want to hone in their skills

It’s a good good course so I took the rider course I took two different weekend trips and uh to just test my gear in my systems I was feeling confident I was ready to go there was only one problem though despite my degree in finance my budgeting skills proved to be subpar at

Best I was going to run out of money before I reached Central America I knew I had to adjust my plans but really had no clue what I was going to do so I was talking to a friend one day and after expressing my uncertain future

She said that her dad was a commercial salmon fisherman in Alaska and maybe I could go work with them so that sounded pretty cool so she gave me his phone number and I gave him a call I introduced myself and explained my situation he said well we’re losing a

Crew member in 3 weeks let me give you the captain’s phone number so I called the captain and with the The Stroke of Luck I got the job I left the very next Morning I filmed the trip for fun and just to have a creative Outlet on the road but also and more importantly I wanted to inspire you to do that thing to embark on that Journey no matter how big or small or how crazy and ridiculous it sounds when you say it

Aloud I wanted to spread a message that you can do it and I promise you won’t regret it so anyway that’s my introduction Spiel um I’ll shut up now and this video is just a compilation of all the um all the edited footage that I’ve put

Tornadoes and that’s what they were saying the next town over to but when I check my phone it just says rain so I don’t know see what happens but yeah the weather’s coming in quick it’s the only camp ground I can find in the area maybe youall can give me some tips

For finding places to camp I have I Overlander which has been a great help but my place I can find turning out good can’t complain looking welcome to Kansas Baby M WS okay well we’re off I hope yall can hear me and we’re leaving the KOA Campgrounds

Of America it was very interesting it was my first time glad I stayed there last night I had the option to stay in a hotel and I went over to the hotel and they said it was going to be 160 bucks and I was like I’ll stay at the KOA see how it

Is that was before the weather got crazy but that was wild and yesterday 9 hours of driving I I don’t know how many miles 350 or 400 and that was wicked that was that was a wicked drive just I’m not used to driving in the wind

And it was just crazy Kansas winds on straighter than straight roads passed about 100 semis hand how you doing man yeah I was going by the other way where yeah grab the handle bars okay ready one two three all right man thank you sir turn turn the steering wheel the other

Really from like New York wow that’s a hell of a drive from so I was going by I’m like that don’t look good yeah thank you sir I appreciate it AJ what a good man he gave me some good routes to take so we’ll see you along the way what’s going on yoy

Wyoming all righty laramy Wyoming just had an amazing lunch with one of my friends from high school who lives up here this is just insane this is crazy okay I’m just really confused about how to get up this hill I don’t really see any better ways I’m getting tired I’m going to set

This camera up you can get some enjoyment out of my failures Wo yeah getting over there will be a challenge let’s go let’s go let’s go oh my God that took an hour oh my goodness God I need to get better at riding motorcycles oh my God I bottom out twice it didn’t take an hour it took 10 minutes it felt like an hour

I think I’m coming to find out that this road is not for motorized vehicles this sign might explain it that’s the road I just came from huh I guess I missed the sign going in I can’t even believe it we’ve arrived and someone’s camping right like

Where the ey Overlander pin pin drop is so we’re going to find a different spot and leave them alone a little concerned about getting out of here tomorrow do not know if I want to do that again especially just with the ground I have

To cover I’ll do that all day on the way back but on the way there I’m on a time schedule we got to get there okay we made it isn’t it beautiful I honestly cannot believe that I made it here seriously it was really fun at times but

It was really stressful at times y’all saw the the truck up River when I was on top of the hill looking down so I went over and and talked to them and it’s a couple they were so nice and they came in the way that I’m

Going to go out so I wanted to ask them about it because I’m a little worried about getting out of here and they said they’re in a truck and their truck got stuck several times they’re using shovels and their firewood to get it out they got here I’m honestly having some

Anxiety about leaving tomorrow mainly mainly about the hill that I just came down on I wish I I didn’t drive down here honestly I kid you not nearly 45° if not 45° pitch and coming down I was just like neutral the whole time clinging to my front brake like just inch by inch

Trying not to lose traction I did not know how I’m going to get up that hill I seriously I no idea how and it’s really stressing me out really I just need to call myself down because at the end of the day I know it’s going to be okay I think the

Main issue like in my head is that I’m on a time crunch getting to Alaska because of the job so I’m just like got to go go go and I’m angry at my decision making go going down the hill and like even coming to the spot in the first

Place when I could have just stayed with my original plan and so now I’m like stressed about leaving because I’m on a schedule but in reality like if I’m a day late I think it’s going to be okay and like it if I literally just can’t

Get out and have to like call for help or I have garment and reach so like it’s everything’s going to be fine at the end of the day so need to chill out and setup Camp getting her done baby yo so the pecking order is shelter water

Food so I’m out of water so I’m going to use this River and my lovely Aunt Jamie gave me a water filter cuz I told her I was just drinking out of the lake she was like shouldn’t be doing that man she gave me a water filter so nice of her so

I’m going to use the water filter fill up with the running river right here and then we have some daylight I’m going to try to catch my dinner cuz I didn’t bring any dinner honestly I’m not even really worried about it right now so that will come last anyway

Yo my man Matt just walked over from all the way up River what’s up guys what what’ you tell me Matt hoping you wanted some fajitas yeah let’s go got some on the stove right now hell yeah don’t have to catch my dinner baby I just got back from having amazing

Fajitas with that couple they’re so nice and this is crazy Matt the guy from the the video earlier he’s from Round Rock Texas I’m from Georgetown sister towns man we’re in the middle of nowhere in in Wyoming it’s just crazy small world so I hung out over there for

Probably 2 hours and they just made amazing food and we sat around the campfire and and just had good conversations thanks guys good morning it’s 6:00 a.m. we got to get on the road whoa wow okay here’s the deal we’re going to ride to the base of this

Hill that I was worried about yesterday scope it out I’m going to take off all the luggage from the bike and put it on my back and carry it up the hill all at once so this will do a couple of things it’ll just make the bike lighter easier to

Maneuver and I think I can get it up the hill easier uh number two if I crack crash it’s not as big of a deal I can pick the bike up easier it’s just all around going to be a better deal so that’s what we’re going to do

I’ll see you there okay we’re at the start of the hill so I’m going to unpack the luggage and we’re going all the way up there so last night I had a lot of anxiety about this but now it’s the morning time man and my attitude is just like let’s get it

Done everything’s going to be good I can crash the bike all I want I think I’m going to be okay as long as I’m not winding up in a hospital later today we’re going to get it done let’s go okay made it up with the luggage my boy Matt has joined me for

Was stressing about nothing Matt was really big help such a good dude uh all right so we’re going to get out of here we have about 18 miles to get out of the BLM and then we’re going to go to Jackson Wyoming to see a friend have

Some lunch and then off to Montana here we go well I am just a little bit confused about what to do here this is my trail running this way and definitely can’t go through that so I can go around so that’s kind of what I was thinking where I planted my bike right

There but now when I get through this like just walking through it my my boots were completely submerged in water and it’s kind of like that this whole way yeah I mean it’s literally just like a you saw it 20 30t stretch so like worst case I’m sure I

Could drag my bike through it and and then get to the other side where it’s dry and repack up my luggage yeah let’s try it out I guess oh my god oh I am completely submerged half of my re rear wheel you see my chain going underwater and you

Can see the top of my rear sprocket there just going to try to rip it out man just going to try to rip it out of here oh my god well I think y’all are about to have a laugh at me here we’ve pushed it an inch part of the

Problem is I’m my feet are completely submerged in water so I’m kind of losing some pushing power I need the strength of adrenaline yeah let’s go let’s go woo oh oh thank God you crazy Trail you may have won the battle but I am not defeated let’s keep

It going baby well we finally made it out of the Oregon Trail that I didn’t realize it the whole way in and the whole way out was the Oregon Trail and I just feel feel so happy and so blessed that I made it out of there me

And my bike in one piece honestly that was pretty stressful for me as a beginner Rider and I know y’all might be watching it and be saying that was nothing but for me that was pretty wild I may have lost some time and I probably would be in Montana

By now if I did stay at that Campground but I’ve literally 10x my riding skill and I think that’s invaluable for this trip I’m really happy to be out of there it took me 2 and 1/2 hours to go 10 miles 2 and 1/2 hours for 10

Miles I don’t know how they did it on the Oregon Trail with their wagons I know how actually they had each other and I made it through because I was able to talk to yall kept me saying kept me talking let’s get to Jackson and go have some

Lunch with my buddy it should take me about four hours to get there 3 and a half 4 hours so let’s go officially run out of gas in the middle of nowhere Wyoming I’m about 50 miles from a gas station I’m going to have to flag someone down and hopefully they pull

Over and hopefully it’s someone who has gas CU it would take a really nice person to drive all the way 50 Mi to go pick up gas for me if they didn’t already have it I’ve passed about 20 cars so far and one really nice old couple pulled over

That’s the first car that’s pulled over so far they didn’t have any gas on them and they actually offered to go all the way 50 miles to the town and get gas and bring it back I declin their kind offer just cuz I don’t want to make someone Drive

50 m one way and 50 Mi back just cuz I’m an idiot you know what I mean h and I’m out of water and my boots are still completely water logged from getting all stuck in the mud got I’m so dumb holding up my hands hold my hands up

Again also that Campground was like a last minute decision it was like 100 miles from my where I camped last night to the nearest gas station so I just I had no clue of that but this is the stuff I have to be more prepared for man like there is no one to

Blame but myself I didn’t plan it good enough I didn’t plan it at all just Lolly gagging running out of gas in the middle of nowhere get didn’t believe this the couple I said that drove by probably an hour ago and they offered to go go bring back gas

And I declined they just pulled up with two of these big water bottles of gas so kind I’m feeling very blessed right now it is 8:20 in the morning and we’re getting rolling I’m going to go and drive up to Boseman CU I think that’s going to be my

Last really good chance at getting the tires I need uh that can get me to Alaska and back yeah and I’m going to get some oil and do an oil change and just get going to inspect the bike and make sure all is good Teton Village it

Has been phenomenal I mean this place is insane day seven let’s get to Boseman uh should be about a six-hour drive and then I have another friend in over in inis and that’s about an hour from Boseman so we’ll we’ll go to Boseman do the maintenance go to inis and maybe

Stay the night out of Denis and then keep going from there cool see you I’ve gone 13,400 miles or so and I’d have to look at my notes again I I’ll put it up on the screen but I have like 23 or 2700 miles to

Go and it’s taken me 7 days so far I think I’m a third of the way through so I should have two more weeks if if all goes smoothly so that still would put me there at a decent time it’s the July 3rd right now the 6

16th of July I’ll be there which is 4 days sooner than I need to be there so that is a good thing by the way I don’t know if I mentioned to y’all July 20th is the day I need to be in Anchorage so we’re on a time crunch we

Just we got to we got to get it done I’ll do all the Lolly gagging in the world on the way back for the past nearly 2 hours I’ve called 25 shops between Jackson Wyoming Boise Idaho and Boseman Montana my 25th call was to a cycle gear in Boise Idaho and

They have my front tire and the rear tire that I need so looks like we’re going to Boise change of plans and I feel kind of bad because I’m not going to be able to go see Doug and inis but you know I just I have to get

This situation taken care of less than 2 mm of tread in my Center blocks on my rear tire so I I’ve got 350 miles to Boise which is quite a drive for no tread so I just need to make sure I stay on the road can’t really be going

Offroad so let’s make it to Boise man and get some new tires and then we’ll keep heading north so that’s the update for now we’ll we’ll see see you Soon we’re out here in the middle of nowhere Idaho and I’ve run into this group of gentlemen called the push skate relay push skate relay that’s us they’re driving Coast to Coast on the whole way doing a mar and Mr Jack right here this is his sixth time doing it right yeah

One way or another yeah right now they were temping to break Jack previous world record 21 days 21 days we are uh 13 13 days and some change uh into it so and we’re you know we got uh about 7 700 600 something left Virginia started Williams

Virginia 20th dipped our re wheels in the Atlantic Ocean go well we got the tires I was outside of the tire shop strapping them to the back of my bike with some paracord and this dude comes up to me he’s like what the hell are you doing we got to talking

I told him what I was doing dude just thought I was an idiot he ended up taking me back to his house and and he gave me a knife and bungee cords and zip ties and shop towels super nice dude super nice dude the hospitality I

Mean just a stranger brought me over to his house and gave me a bunch of stuff who does that tomorrow we’re getting the bike in perfect order as you all know I’m inexperienced this is my first month on a motorcycle so I’m the learning curve

Is real happy 4th of July so here’s the deal today I’m staying at my buddy’s dairy farm although my buddy is in Mexico which is kind of funny I’ve never met any of the people he lives with but he lives on this dairy farm with with multiple people they have kind of like

Their own little Community going on and so my friend who’s in Mexico told the guys that I’d be coming by and they’ve just been so nice and so welcoming and I’m spending the 4th of July here on the farm so today I’m going to try to put my set of tires

On I’m going to attempt to I’ve never done it I have this feeling that I’m going to get a nail in my tire somewhere in the middle of nowhere and just have to know how to replace the tubes so to me it’s like it’s going to be very difficult I think that’s the

Price of knowledge in this circumstance so I’m going to pay the price I’m expecting it to take a really long time but we’re just going to approach it with a good attitude and try to knock it Out Let’s go got the axle out so Clayton here just knows what the hell’s going on my buddy Nate the one who’s in Mexico and sister that I carried this To re Tire irons definitely the way to go what’s up Wilder to all my KR Riders out there and actually fit a spare rear tube under the seat and I have my front one zip tied under my Fender here applied some soap to the rear side of this

Tire so I’m going to try to get this thing on here and I think I need to put the tire on first and then slip the tube in and then we’ll go from there we’re 4 hours in and I cannot get this lip this last lip over the rim I

Haven’t even started on the front tire yet at this point I think my best bet is going to be to take the front tire off and take the front and the rear up to a a shop in town and have them do it for

Me I just need to get back on the road at this point so that’s probably going to be my best bet but man look at this view it’s 9:30 on the dairy farm and it’s still bright outside Oh I thought myself in this situation I do not know we acquired the [Applause] Goodso all right well I quit filming but I didn’t want to leave yall hanging so here’s the finished product I ended up taking the front and rear to a small tire shop here in Glenn fairy and they did it in less than 30 minutes and charged me $20 so I think I maybe

Should have done that in the first place but it was a hell of a learning experience so that was invaluable I’ve been here for a long time and my my stress of my time schedule has somewhat dissipated I’ve been super relaxed here about just getting the bike ready and I

Feel very confident in the bike to make it up to Alaska and back so that’s where we are we’re headed to Winchester Lake State Park it’ll be about a 9 hour drive eight or nine hours so it’ll be a good one and then Canada the next day here we

No clue if the TR like it or not who knows they could be bass in here too but I’ve known a bass or two to like something like this so we’re going to keep trying see if we can catch some dinner I feel like I’m in the presence of Bob Ross right

Long maybe 2 ft that thing was freaking dinner man we’re going to keep trying cuz I am I’m hungry well day three with no luck for dinner need to do some research and get after it tomorrow good morning we’re all packed up it is 8:00 and ready to go so it’s not that

Cold out here but cold enough for a hoodie and we’re in the woods and it was just a great night first night in Canada see you what a spot this was okay driving in here last night was my first time going through sand and I wasn’t expecting it to be so slick and

Slippery let’s try to stay alive Here Oh my God this is crazy I feel like I’m swimming surfing what the heck man this is crazy man where’s the river guess I got to go looking for it cuz the river is where my dinner is swimming I have a feeling where that Cliff is is there’s going to be some

Water over there this is where I wish I knew how to do a wheelie to get over this thing in style [ __ ] man what the heck nope not happening I’m bottomed out I’m freaking stuck man my bike is stuck I didn’t think I was going to have

Any problem with this stick but then right before the stick is that soft sand and my rear tire trying to get over the log was spinning through that sand and the sand didn’t have enough traction to get me over the log and so my wheel just sat there spinning in the

Sand getting itself buried and now I’m bottomed out on this log oh my goodness gracious man River’s right here well I’ve got a couple of options here but I think my best bet is going to be to take the luggage off since I can literally Camp right there walk my

Luggage over there and then get this bike unstuck once it’s lighter stuff weighs at least 100 PB here we go so there’s probably a couple ways I could do this I could just freaking pull on it know where that’s going to get me though I’m also freaking probably gear dumb get that neutral

Did laundry all we got to do now is catch some dinner I got these new lures from the gas station so I’m feeling lucky fingers crossed this is what I’ve got rigged up will it work with the orange and pink and purple I have no clue well another day

Look I don’t know what the deal is I got two bites but no serious takers and three times massive jumped out of the water couldn’t see any fish but it’s almost like I took one of these Boulders and chunked it in the water like huge I

Guess they have to be trout I don’t know what else they’d be I’ve been having dreams about catching this trout and eating it and they actually eat dinner oh if I can’t catch them I’m just not worthy of having them in my belly I think so just going to try to get better And hopefully catch some tomorrow good morning it’s 6:15 um I’m going to head to Prince George to a coffee shop figure out my routes for today and tomorrow probably not tomorrow actually probably just today I know in Wyoming I said I was going to start planning 3 days in

Advance for my routes cuz I was emotional I was angry but what’s the fun in that you know plan it day by day it’s much more interesting you get to find good spots like this and it keeps you flexible but anyway we got some rain last night so my

Laundry didn’t do too good I’m thinking about tempted to go find uh laundry mat in Prince George to just actually wash all my clothes and put them in a dryer and yeah let’s get out of Here all right oh Yeah okay now it’s time for my arch nemesis the log in the road I think we just got to send it though No freaking piece of cake baby let’s go let’s go right let’s see if I can remember how to get out of here okay I think I came through this way oh look at that sun it’s 8:00 and I think I came in from this right side so I’m going to go look see

If anything is feeling familiar oh yeah let’s go oh yeah I remember these big potholes yeah we’re going the right way my rear wheel is just like swimming left and right oh yeah we made it man let’s Go all right leaving Prince George just mapped out my rout and my flight is on July 20th today is the 11th so 250 m a day we’ll get me there by the 18th that’s 8 days from now so today I picked out a i Overlander pin

Which is a little over 300 miles from where I camped at last night on the Tela River it’s a river which I hope will have trout cuz I haven’t eaten in a long time and I want some trout man so traveling on the road without eating processed foods is a challenge

Especially if you’re not catching fish for dinner so I’m working on my fishing skills so I just I’m not quite sure how to catch these fish but I’m determined to eat some Food [Applause] we’re in Houston British Columbia and these wildfires are getting pretty serious in Canada that one over there is just one of the many hundreds of wildfires at this moment that are spread across the country that’s about the fifth one I’ve seen directly when I was in Prince

George I don’t know if y’all can tell but it was completely smoked up spelled like you were sitting at the campfire it’s pretty wild most of the drive for the past 2 3 days has been Smokey and it’s not Smoky right now but there’s visibly a fire right there make sure

You’re being safe when you’re camping and be careful with your flames it’s something to keep in mind it’s so hot and dry out here it’s just a spark can create a fire like that they doing some cliff jumping here hello this is cool all right we’re here oh that’s it no way

Oh that’s my trail 100% trout in this River there has to be right it’s got to be trout in this River oh yeah here we go holy cow man oh let’s go let’s go this is electric wow what a spot get set up and catch some fish man

What do you say some new flipflops eh my and Jamie would be disappointed if she saw me doing this she gave me the water filter oh my God it’s freezing Cold this guy do some good drinking water it’s so cold and so good I’m certainly enjoying the luxuries of a bench I’m excited the fish today I got got two new lures a spinner bait and a little spoon but yeah this is day three of only having one

Meal over the entire three days I ate a meal yesterday and it’s because I’m tired of eating processed foods you know what I mean getting increasingly harder to pass up the gas station Foods about Subway in Houston smelled really freaking good man but I just I can’t eat the processed

Foods my body doesn’t like it so that’s why I’m really determined to catch some trout CU I want to eat so I’m I’m very motivated and I just I just got to connect the hook to the mouth get it in my belly it’s as simple as that but this

Thing and this little spoon we’re going to try it out so we’ll see what happens fingers crossed I’m hungry I went ahead and I did buy some fruit at the grocery store so and also there was wild salmon at the grocery store and all different kinds of

Fish and I was about to buy big old huge fillet of salmon and cook it tonight but I was like that’s cheating can’t do that I’ve been fishing for several days and then just to go buy something from the grocery store that’s Fish N man we’re going to catch it I’m freaking

Hungry so let’s go do it see what we can do I just met some guys that came down here to fish and they confirm that this water is from a glacier way up way up there somewhere so that’s why it’s so cold and delicious to drink purified by Nature they gave me some great tips on good ways to catch trout in this water

So I’ve been fishing for probably 2 hours now and I’ve had one bite which is good still hopeful I’ve been dreaming of catching a trout and eating it freaking hungry man it’s getting close to my bedtime so my call it quits pretty soon and just yeah keep trying for a little bit though

Well it’s 9:06 I lost both my spoon and my spinner bait so I think it’s about time to break my 36-hour fast with some nuts some blueberries and some bananas that were 50% off at the store cuz they’re old old but it looked a lot better than this

It’s a fantastic pit stop in fact and we’re getting on the Alaska highway this highway supposedly is just full of Wonders there’s tons of little things to do along the way museums and hiking trails I’m not sure if I’ll partake but definitely going to take it slower and just kind of look for

Gracious oh these Bridges these bridges are so sketchy on a motorcycle I don’t know if you have ever driven all these bridges on a motorcycle but this is just sketchy man it’s like a graded Bridge wobbling back and forth oh thank goodness the last gas station was 67 miles too

Stretch out the selfie stick real high just the act of riding the camera’s like swaying back and forth all over the place so I think that’s what caused it to fly off I’m just going to try to pop this thing back in here I don’t have a

Tons of B holes got to be careful out there and definitely get up on your pegs if you’re on a bike there’s tons of just kind of Mounds everywhere bumps that sometimes are hard to see how you doing my man good how are you doing better every a minute yes sir

Bike down to usua TI Del fuo Argentina and they said that they did that 10 years ago in their in their camper rig on their truck freaking cool man it’s just wild how many people you meet up here that have done that Journey or planning to do that Journey

Cuz unless they’re a native up here it’s like the only people you talk to are Travelers and Evelyn’s on some crazy Journey it’s pretty cool I’m convinced it’s in the high 30s right now my weather app said 59 there’s just no way let me check it again since I got some more service yeah 60 no it’s not 60 out there it’s freaking cold I do feel a lot better with my rain suit on this thing is

Insulated so I’ve got my Long John’s top and bottoms on I’ve got my long sleeve shirt and my riding pants over that my hoodie my warm hoodie underneath my riding jacket and then my big riding jacket and now this rain suit and it’s still cold it’s not 60° but

Anyway getting some rain too so I’m I’m really glad I have this thing you know on the motorcycle you do have to pack strategically storage is precious so there was definitely times where I thought about throwing this rain jacket out of my pack to save space but I am
