Can I upgrade this vintage road bike to handle some mixed trail riding (mostly gravel and paved trail with some off road )40-100mile rides? All advice welcome. Thanks!

Tyre clearance will be an issue as old bikes cannot really accommodate more than 25mm wide tyres. Also gear ratio on such bikes is usually less user friendly.
