Hi Folks
So I discovered a hairline crack on the down tube of my bike today while cleaning it…apparently this is an issue woth the 2022 frame? Anyone have similar experiences?. Will Goant replace the frame or is it just a paint crack….can I still ride it….thanks in advance

I had mine replaced from something similar , take it to the shop let them evaluate it
I had a very similar looking crack – took it to my Giant shop (Mikes bikes) and was told that the frame was structurally fine, but that Giant would replace with a new frame (reinforced in that area). I kept my bike and continued to ride it while the bike shop waited for the new frame from Giant – it arrived a few weeks later and they swapped all my parts onto the new frame. I honestly couldn’t tell the difference other than the paint job looked new for a few days 🙂
I was impressed with the way Giant handled it.
I also had a 2022 revolt advanced with a cracked seat post, 0 km on it. Slowly but surely they replaced it with the same strengthened frame, and as originally planned I replaced the D-shaped seat tube with a 30.9 mm one, no problems and no worries since then. I recommend the warranty replacement and then immediately replace the seat tube so you don’t have to worry about it later.
