Has anybody seen anything like this before??
It looks like a crack in the drive side of the bottom bracket – right next to the frame. It looks like a tear, so maybe stress induced??
It’s a 6-month old BB and wasn’t like this when installed.

Also – is this potentially dangerous? Should I get a new BB installed?
This looks like it could be a wave washer
Edit: not 100% sure they go between the bb and bb shell, so that might not be a wave washer
Have a shop look. Maybe the shell needs facing?
I am pretty sure that is a deformed wave washer.
Kinda looks like paint is peeling from around d the bb. Usually on a properly faced bb there’s no paint on that surface. But on bikes that haven’t been faced the paint quite often flakes off.
