New build (w used parts). Have an SM-BB52 and a shimno fc-m5100 crank w 30t chainring. I’m installing it on a boost frame (Ragley big al)

I’ve never actually installed a bottom bracket/crank this style. Does it matter if I stack a few spacers between the chainring and bb since I needed more space and just had a few thin ones? I put one on the bb itself and a few between chainring and bb. I this enough space?

How about on the non drive side – do I need to use spacers between crank arm and bb?

Thanks!!

  1. Do you need spacers when the cranks are on the correct side? Some frames are asymmetric.

  2. So embarrassing I want to delete it, but maybe a nice reminder for others, and a healthy dose of humility
