Sure is an awfully preachy episode. These women keep talking about equal rights, that's not what they want. They want to be treated like men until it's consequences time.
Why should a man take care of a child that isn't his just so the child's mother can get drunk a go spend the night with another guy? If that child is so important to the police, maybe they should have taken her.
Obviously what that women did was wrong stupid and selfish i respect her for being honest and admitting shes drank too much and saying they dont blame her for arresting her, i believe she genuinely regrets her mistake
