  1. Build up of grime and road salt in the winter, combined with not cleaning it regularly. The wear is erosive, not abrasive in my opinion.

    Power washing isn’t a great idea, but I doubt it will end with the front mech melting away and delaminating. (I’m assuming the part in image 1is Carbon)

    The break caliper and rear mech are corrosion. Moisture is getting under the paint, bubbling it up and eventually cracking it off.
