I’m in the market for a used hybrid bike and stumbled upon this post on FB marketplace. I’m not too knowledgeable about bikes but I think I managed to find out that this was a 2009 Specialized Sirrus Expert. Seller was asking $350 on original listing then dropped listing price to $300. I asked about use and maintenance and the seller said he purchased the bike used about 5 years ago and only rode it a few times but hadn’t done much maintenance. Does this seem like a decent deal? I’m just getting into cycling and scared to buy something that isn’t in great shape. Any help would be appreciated!

Also, how much does this bike differ from something like a 2023 Specialized Sirrus 1.0 disc? If I were to buy new that is what I’m leaning towards.
