I’m planning my first-ever bikepacking trip on my road aero bike (yes, I know it will be painful). Can someone recommend a cycle route from London to Inverness? The current route is:

I’d consider changing the route around Loch Lomond, you’re going up the west side (which is the only road) but it’s a notoriously bad road, it’s dark because of tree cover, twisty and lots of blind corners. NCN route 1 goes up the east side towards Callendar and takes a more central route North to Inverness rather than going up the Caledonian Canal.
