Does anyone know what these gromits/o-rings are for? I bought a SRAM 160-180mm POST mount adapter and they came in the pack. I’m guessing they go on the longer caliper bolts but I can’t see what purpose they actually serve.

They keep the screws from falling out of the adapter before it’s installed.
