Hey 👋, Im ~168cm 5’6-5’7 so I opted for a small frame Scott spark 970. I might have been better with with a medium as I found the bars were a bit close, but I have shorter legs so it seem to fit everywhere else nicely.
Immediately I rolled the bars forward a touch and this seem to give me enough space to enjoy the bike. But I experience nimb hands towards the end of my 40min climb at my local mountain.
A year after owner ship and im still getting numb hands and keen to do something about it as I am enjoying this bike a heap.
Thoughts for rectification? It has a 50mm stem with zero degree angle. The bars are ‘mini rise’ whatever that means with 8deg backsweep, since I have rolled the forwards there would be a bit more rise.
Was thinking to extend the stem first (not sure by how much), and kinda keen to fit some carbon bars, tempted to add a bit of rise as I like the rise o got from rolling the bars forwards.
Thanks.

I’ve been semi curious about these, but IMO numb hands come from having the wrong grips. I’ve used about 10 different styles of grips and all of them change hand fatigue or numbness or discomfort in different kinds of ways, I sort of chose the best ones I could live with and been doing fine. Hope this works out for you though
