Cross is boss. When it comes to the different disciplines of bicycle racing, it is Cyclocross in particular that has fascinated us over the last years. In 2017 we teamed up with the cycling association NRW and combined various Cyclocross races to a local, small Cyclocross Cup: the “BOMBTRACK NRW-CROSS-CUP (powered by Schwalbe & Ryzon)”. A regional series, with its races all being held in the state of “North Rhine Westphalia”. Going in it’s sixth round in 23/24, those cover every racing category from Kids to Seniors, from Hobby to Elite. There’s a small pot of prize money, so the fastest riders get their travel costs covered. Each race has a completely unique, creative course and whilst they all offer a competitive aspect it might be the general focus on fun that helps to attract the large number of recurring starters. We encourage you to take a look; if you’re local and like what you see, feel free to get involved and join the remaining races! If you’re not from nearby, there might be something similar somewhere not too far from your place? Might be worth a research.
