It’s usually kept inside and not used in the winter but I needed to use it this year since I moved. I’m in Québec and the roads have a lot of salt and we recently had freezing rain. I figure I’ll give it a good scrub with super green & take the wheel off and really get the rust off the sprockets, replace the chain and keep everything lubricated.

New chain if you want. You can use rust remover, wire brush.
Clean the chain properly when you disassemble. Replacing doesn’t seem necessary at all unless it’s hitting the end of it’s life.
