61cm Gary Fisher Triton. Seller claims it was the creator of the unbound gravel race’s bike so that’s a neat thought. Not sure what “platinum heat treated steel” is but the whole build barely cracks 19lbs.
Besides the sparkly black paint job and plethora of rack eyelets, I’ve built it up with: velocity wheelset, origin8 crankset 46/18, Bontrager stem and seatpost, knockoff tioga spider saddle ($5 and notably comfortable), Amazon steel fork and bars, kmc s1 chain, and an FSA headset which I installed with a homemade tool.
This will be my beater/commuter/tracklocross bike and it’s the first fg I have built from scratch and pieced together. Lmk if u know anything about the brand or suggestions on the build.

Even the tubing is a relic.
Strange and beautiful.
I have a Triton too! Just got it (bought it as a complete bike) a few weeks ago. Mine came with a bontrager carbon fork and a great velocity wheel set on high flange IRO hubs. Bontrager 175mm crank with an ultegra chainring.
How much did you pay for your frame if you don’t mind me asking? I got everything I’ve mentioned plus the original bontrager wheel set for 300 bucks.
I’m using mine for precisely the same thing you’re using yours, I put 33mm tires and a 800mm downhill specialized bar on mine and it rides so nicely.
