I’ve just finished the build of my Filante SLR with ultegra di2.
Everything went smoothly but I have one very annoying problem at the rear axle (mavic speed release system).
The rear axle goes through the derailleur hanger, then through the frame, and screws into an eyelet, which is attached through the frame into the derailleurhanger
When the eye and derailleurhanger are fixed to the frame, it prevents my rear axle of lining up correctly with the thread of the eyelet. The only way I can mount my rear wheel is by undoing the bolt that is holding the eyelet and derailleurhanger to the frame, and than really carefully thread my rear axle into the eyelet (which is then loose and has room to lign up correctly). After the axle is though, I can bolt in the small screw to fix the eyelet to the frame again.
That can’t be right for such a high end frame? It seems the hole in the frame is too small or not correctly aligned with the (thank god replacable) derailleurhanger parts.
I already cross threaded one axle and one eyelet but the problem persists with new parts.
Any solutions for this?

Warranty claim I’m afraid. Fairly common problem. More common on welded bikes (heat distortion), but it’s possible on carbon bikes too (either uneven paint thickness, or the carbon itself). Unfortunately, in bikes, price is only weakly correlated with QC…
The Syntace X-12 thru axle system is nice in that it was designed to be able to compensate for this kind of issue, but the dropouts have to be designed around it.
