Never really could get into riding the drops. Just felt too low and unstable. I spend most of my time on the hoods and across the top of the bar.

Installed a Ritchey Venturemax last week and rode it naked to dial in the lever position and angle. I finally installed some Cinelli Cork bar tape to finish things off.

The shallow drop makes such a difference and presents another viable hand position for me. I don’t even notice the extra bend in the drop. Maybe that’s a good thing. The hand position just feels solid and secure.

The flat top and slight back sweep angle is also much appreciated.

  1. I ran those bars for a bit and while I did like the drops position a lot they were too flared for my taste

  2. I love those. I have started with ‘normal’ version, then switched to XL, and Today ordered another bike with XLs.
