I’m pretty sure I remember there being wide plastic spacers on one or both of the internals, are those the reason?

Also, it leaks oil at the top and I’ve spent hours and dollars trying to find a match for the o-rings to no avail. Is thick ptfe (brand megatape) on the threads an acceptable alternative? Oil also leaks from under the damping adjuster and I can’t find a matching o-ring for that either.

I called Marzocchi about part numbers and replacements for the o-rings but they said that after Fox bought Marzocchi they basically threw out all information they had on older shocks. Would love to get information on correct rebuild kits.

Thank you.

  1. The guy who bought out the Marzocchi service center in the US is a wacko that calls himself Marzocchi Mark. You can find him by searching, I have found him impossible to deal with though.

This guy calls himself Dr. Zocchi and is not in the US, but actually has a functioning website and makes reproduction parts. https://dr-zocchi.projectweb.de/

  2. I’d bet on too much oil in it. Some forks are super sensitive to oil level, 10ml more and it doesn’t go to full travel, 10ml less and it doesn’t dampen.
