I’m currently riding a 2018 trek Emonda ALR 5. I bought it new, no issues, I love it. That said I’ve been thinking about upgrading and trying to figure out what my next step should be. Anyone have thoughts on the Giant TCR ADVANCED PRO DISC 0, would that be a meaningful upgrade or should I just keep on my current bike?

I mean it’s carbon vs alloy, and a better groupset with electronics on top. Personally I’m neither a fan of electronic shifting, nor spending this kind of money on a bike. But hey, it’s a hobby, if you have the cash and don’t go into debt over it, have at it.
If you’re on the fence, ask yourself how you think this new bike will improve your hobby. Do you want the carbon for weight and comfort? Is it a geometry that would suit you better? Do you like the color more? Or do you just want something new?
All of these are legit reasons. Some may be worth money to you than others. In the end, yes, this is a better bike. If you need it, only you can answer that.
