[Music] [Applause] [Music] Hello and welcome to my podcast about knitting, I’m Ilona, I ‘m a knitter and translator from Bielefeld, i.e. from the city that doesn’t exist and yes, for those who landed on this podcast for the first time, you You’ve landed on a knitting podcast. This podcast is mainly about knitting

And wool and my knitting adventures, I’ll say sometimes it’s about other topics and yes, I try to make it as entertaining as possible. Well, entertainment is of course subjective. I try not to make it boring but if it’s not for you, sorry

For you, but if you like it, feel free to subscribe, like, share on Instagram, look for me and follow me and so on, so I would be very happy if you came back and watched the whole thing here again and to everyone who keeps coming back and who

Has been loyal to me for a very long time and who keeps commenting or maybe even commenting under every episode, the first interruptions are those who come to rest with me, those who follow me or almost I’ve seen every one of my episodes,

I know I’m interrupted quite often. Yes, I actually live on the outskirts of the city, so to speak, not in the middle of nowhere and not in the country either, but Bielefeld isn’t really a huge city and my life isn’t really integrated into it social activities, that’s what

I thought, but every episode I’m either called with an urgent call or someone rings the doorbell like before, yes, I’m sorry, there are always interruptions, I have to keep editing the videos so that they somehow, well, evenly expire, I’m sorry, yes, where were we, um, yes, those people, so to all the subscribers

I would just like to say my very, very big thanks and say you are the main reason why I’m still here, otherwise I would have had fun recording videos but probably I would have stopped quickly if you weren’t there. Value and in this context

I would like to point out that, well, the number of subscribers and subscribers to my podcast has grown somewhat in the last few weeks, we have almost reached the 2000 subscriber mark not too much but it’s well 2000 people who obviously keep watching my videos which I think is really nice and

Somehow not surprising but it’s amazing if you imagine that 2000 people in the stadium are looking at you then that’s it It’s something special, of course, we’re not in the stadium and we’re not all there at the same time, but I think you can understand

What I mean, yes, it’s definitely something special and I’m always delighted, surprised and pleasantly touched um how many people are watching this and of course I’ll be giving away a little something when we get to 2000, I don’t know when exactly

That will be, so now there are basically nine people or subscriptions that are still missing, um as soon as they’re there I will In the episode that follows, I somehow show what I want to give away and then explain the conditions under which what I want to give away changes

Hands. So I’m not at all prepared for today’s episode and that’s not because I don’t have anything to tell or to show, but exactly the other way around, a lot of things happen, something happens all the time, both in my knitting world and in the global

Knitting world or in my personal private life, so to speak, or at work where I’m employed or in my freelance activities There’s somehow a lot going on in January, I don’t think it’s usually ever that busy, but well, that’s how it is

And if I don’t record today’s episode, no matter how unprepared I am, then there won’t be one this week and that’s why I thought I’ll just write down the points and try to give you content that will entertain you a bit.

Now I don’t know if I’ll be able to upload the episode directly today, at least on patreon I really hope that it works if it’s on patreon today i then everyone else who only watches my episodes via YouTube will then mine this episode if you see it

And you’re not a patreon of mine or a patron of mine or If you’re not a Patreon member then you’ll hopefully see the episode on Saturday or Sunday. Today is January 19th, by the way, so the episode would then be released on YouTube on

January 20th or 21st or 20th or 21st, sorry I said it’s not because I don’t have anything to tell or show, that’s why I’m going through the points that I’ve planned so that I can implement everything I’ve planned, um, so at first I wanted to, so it’s going to be a

Wild collection be from different points, yes, I’m sorry, it won’t necessarily be totally structured. I can perhaps tell you a little bit about what agenda I’ve basically thought about for today or what topics will be addressed today, and I’ll give you a hint on yes knitting world information where you can get it

Then I will show a few finished projects of mine then I will talk about the publication of my instructions for the Hüge Mittes or Hüge gloves and then I will talk about yes about our knitting community and yes such a thing I’ll say something about it.

I’ll show a project that I’ve recently started and I hope there’s still time in which I can talk about my shop update. As you know, I have a shop where I sell yarn. I have a little bit of it something added um and I’m still

In the process of adding more items um yes that might take a little longer and yes you have to find the time but I’m in the process of adding it little by little and ordering what can already be found online is and what’s to come I’ll show it in this episode

At the end of the episode and then there’s a viewer question that I ‘ve already answered in writing, so the viewer has already gotten the answer but I’ll read it out here and answer it again In case others are also interested in it,

We’ll start with information from the knitting community and I have or usually I also listen to two audio podcasts and I want these are largely wool inspirations from KA from Lana Filia Shop and that’s it the wool channel of Laura and Frieda who, among other things,

Dye the wool or Laura dyes the wool that Frieda has produced. Frieda has the wool brought in by the people from Düsseldorf, processed and spun from wool and now the Cologne sheep are also involved in this So these two in particular these

Two audio podcasts I usually listen to very promptly and in the last one from Kaja so in wool inspirations from last Sunday that must be what date was that I have to check it must have been from January 14th there was um some upcoming events in the

German world in particular in the German knitting world, um yes, called illuminated, said which ones she will go to herself. She usually drives with her yes yarns with the items from her shop to various trade fairs or wool festivals or so handicraft fairs, rather less but just where where

Wool in yes can be bought on a large scale there, ka is usually represented with her shop and yes those of you who are interested in what and where takes place can find some information there, she doesn’t name all of them festivals or trade fairs or something like that but they

Name a lot of them and Then I realized again that maybe I should think a little bit about where I can be found this year or where I can drive and I just wanted to tell you about it here, maybe you’ll be there too and we

Can see each other meet drink coffee speak don’t speak whatever anyway I just wanted to name a few things and unfortunately I won’t be going to Kassel I had actually made up my mind to do that last year so last year the wolf festival was in Kassel

For the first time took place and I was there on one of the days and I found this also great but this year the date overlaps so the festival coincides with my mother-child cure that I will be doing on the North Sea and or at least that’s what it looks like so

The planning is actually done, all the confirmations are there and yes it can or the probability is very very It’s great that I’ll be on the North Sea and not in Kassel, so I’m sorry for everyone who wanted to meet me there and for the manufacturers and

Dyers who unfortunately won’t see me there, but I think that I’m the new one wolfest or wohmesse or strickmesse strickmesse is what I think I’m going to try out in Hanover in quotation marks. There is a, um, what’s it called? There are creative trade fairs or

Creative trade fairs, I think they’re called, which have taken place a bit scattered all over Germany or take place regularly where not only wool but various other creative crafts and activities have found their place and the same provider is offering or organizing a knitting fair in Berlin this year, which I think

Has already taken place and one in Hanover, it could be that they are still doing something somewhere Hanover is on Next to me, I live in Bielefeld and I’ll go there. That’s the smallest hurdle for me to integrate it into my everyday life. I might also

Spontaneously go to Sulingen again, so to the Sulinger Wolfest, I was there last year and that I thought it was very nice, it was also nice and spontaneous. My daughter came along and she mainly looked at alpacas and I was able to

Walk through the rows a bit and buy a little something or talk to a few hand dyers. I don’t have many photos I’ve only done a few , but I definitely reported on it in one of my podcast episodes Not only to fly there for the wool fair but also

To actually go on a little vacation with my daughter there, so I’ll try to accommodate it so that we’re there for, I don’t know, 4 or 5 days and then in the middle of it all we’ll have to

Visit the wool festival more I didn’t plan it at first. I would really like to go somewhere in the south to one of the woll trade fairs or to one of the woll festivals, but that’s so far away that

I can’t do that in one day and unfortunately for me there’s also work Now there aren’t that many activities that I could somehow attend there where I could do that at the same time, which means yes, I don’t know if I can somehow manage it. If that comes up, I will

Of course inform you, um, yes, I think it’s always a shame because it’s There are a lot of smaller festivals going on in the south and there are also smaller festivals here and there in the Rhineland. I wanted to go somewhere near Cologne, but

What I wanted to ask you was that you If you have planned festivals that you want to go to and which I haven’t mentioned yet or which I have mentioned, please write in the comments below which ones you will be going to or which you

Can absolutely recommend to others and perhaps can’t go there yourself I would be very happy because maybe I missed something, maybe Kaj didn’t mention something that was somehow nearby and where I could get to. I would really like to go to Wolfesten more often but

It has to be somehow compatible with my life festivals and meetings with other knitters and so on. Yesterday Eveline from maschenträume, which is also a German-language podcast here on YouTube, visited me. She lives near Bielefeld and we met again at my place yesterday,

Which was the second time that she visited me at my house, we had already met somewhere else and that was so nice, it was really so um so it was just amazingly she was there at 10:30 a.m. until about 3 a.m. and I don’t think there was even a minute of

Silence in my house, yes, we have two solo entertainers meet, what happened, there wasn’t a minute of silence, we ate cake and so we knitted We also knitted most of the time and talked about everything about God and the world via

The podcasts about knitting about the wool. I also showed her my new wool that had moved into my shop. She also took something with her. Maybe she’ll show it or I think she wanted to show it in her next episode. I’m very excited to see what it

Looks like in the other camera. I’ll definitely show the yarn today too. I hope I can do everything I set out to do in time and it was easy just really beautiful she is such an accessible such a yes a person with a lot of life experiences and

With a lot of reflection about the knitting world about herself about somehow about everything we always find something to discuss we always find something yes something to do somehow found I was just very nice, yesterday was a very, very nice day. Fortunately, I didn’t have any plans that

I absolutely had to do yesterday because I wouldn’t have been able to do that because I, I, it was just very nice, you have to treat yourself to that I think so, best regards to Eveline if you’re watching. In any case, I’ll also watch the next episode in its entirety

And I’m very excited to hear what you’ll say. Then what’s next? Next, I’ll talk very briefly about my published instructions for this one Both beauties yes, so I have published my hügemittens or hügegloves as instructions which can be found on ravely on et

If you don’t have access to both or for both you have to have either PayPal or credit card if you want to buy the instructions but don’t use PayPal or credit card If you want, you can simply write to me by email, my email address is in the description under

Each episode and basically tell me that you want to have the instructions as a PDF then yes, there is a normal invoice and you can pay it as you do and then the instructions are available as a PDF or as a printout. I would also accommodate you and just

Print out the instructions and send them by post if this option seems most interesting to you. I thought I would do that. I would also like to do some of the instructions myself or in general reading on paper not only instructions but basically books magazines so everything in paper.

Digitization is unavoidable and gives my well, I work so my main job is to create an online course, so digitization basically gives me my daily bread but still I am myself So the more natural the whole thing is, the better

I like that when it comes to cooking natural yarns speaking of natural yarns, this is also a non- natural yarn n super wash no plastic content and so on yes so the more natural the better so if you want the instructions on paper you can order them directly from me by email

So then there are just gloves that are knitted in garter stitch but with here with a little bit of shapes for the thumb for the thumb pick and yes here with a 2 x 2 ribs bühnchen yes, the instructions are written for seven sizes from a hand circumference of 12 cm,

Which is well for a toddler it should fit and then it goes on in 2 cm increments until I think 24 cm or 22 cm nope4 20 cm circumference is exactly my size 5 knitted for me so

That’s size 5 that’s 20 cm where that’s now that I knitted it a little looser than stated in the instructions I’ll definitely knit my next ones with a smaller needle than I knitted my pattern piece but In the instructions it is already

Indicated with the smaller needle and it fits the same gloves I knitted for my daughter if I manage to work it then I will show the photo of my gloves somewhere here next to her gloves maybe a few other photos and Videos about it

Otherwise you can find everything either on Instagram or on revaly or if you want just email what else the gloves are knitted from a decay wool so from West Yorkshire Spinners blueface ler flie Dec so 225 m on 100 g with so in the instructions

The whole thing is knitted with the 4 mm needle except for the cuff and m yes that’s actually it, you can of course switch to other yarns, you can also use a sock yarn with either double or with a Moher yarn or side Mohr

Yarn and make the gloves out of it, ideally knitted But you have to make them relatively tight so that they don’t stretch out too much, yes because chaus right stretches, that’s why there are corresponding recommendations in the instructions on how to do this so that the gloves

Don’t get too big, yes you can re-knit the gloves and as long as they last It’s cold, I also highly recommend them. I think they are knitted in a maximum of two days, so if you have a few hours to spare then you can definitely get them ready for

Yourself in two days as a gift for friends as a gift for children and so on and I’m currently in the process of designing a suitable neck warmer. I’ll say it will hopefully be available soon. I’m not sure yet. I’m half finished with my own sample piece but I’m not showing

Anything yet because I’m not quite sure yet I’m wondering what you can do with it or whether it looks the way I want it to look. In any case, the gloves look good with any scarf that is also knitted in K or shawl or that is also knitted in garter stitch from

The same yarn Of course, does it fit together well? Yes, those were the hügegloves. Then I would like to tell you the following: I have been doing sock experiments. I have to get them. I hope I can get it all together now

. I already showed you this sock last time. Yes, I do I tested out for the first time what it’s like to knit a thicker sock with a thicker sock yarn and I used this sock yarn, which is superb Alpaca luxury socks from

Rico Design, it was 100 g so that’s just the rest that needs to be done now Definitely enough for children’s socks and that’s 310 m per 100 g, which should be knitted with 2.5 to 3.5 needles and I think I knitted the three needles, I

Showed the first one last time and I have the second one then as part of an experiment last Sunday, cast on in the morning, I was finished in the evening, I didn’t knit all day, I only knitted

While the child had to read something, for example, the child is now practicing reading, so she has to learn to read quickly and while she was reading something or during I somehow drank tea or coffee and then I knitted the sock and, as I said, it was finished on the same day without

Me having to make any effort or without me even noticing that I had been knitting basically all day I definitely didn’t knit all day, but I didn’t measure the time directly. I would say 3 hours, maybe yes, so

If I had knitted in one go, that would be maybe 3 hours and I’m very, very satisfied. I have, um Last time I already said how I wanted to do it um well I knitted from top to bottom in this case um after reading I decided

Whether so I have Magic Loop no I didn’t knit with Magic Loop I knitted with double pointed needles and um I basically have the top or no that’s a butterfly heel yes for this heel I usually do so that I increase four stitches in front of the heel first two at the top

And then two at the bottom and zwear not in the same in not in the same round but staggered like that Here it was so that I knitted six rounds increased two stitches at the top then knitted another six rounds increased two stitches at the bottom so

Once here and once on the other side so here then um I did the heel and then I did another six rounds knitted two stitches decreased at the bottom and knitted another six rounds and two stitches decreased at the top and then stopped with the

I continued knitting the same thing with the same circumference with the same number of stitches as here and here I simply decreased after small stitches, always at the top on both sides and at the bottom, three times in every other round and then simply always decreased four stitches in every round

Until I had four stitches then I fastened it here, pulled the thread through, pulled it tight, hidden it, and that’s how the sock turned out, without me having to sew. I try to avoid that with sewing on knitted pieces because the stitch stitch is just

Cumbersome and requires concentration I can’t manage it so I can do it by hand but I can’t bring myself to do it by hand to make a little pun so they’re finished I’m very happy the yarn is recommended

At least as far as knitting is concerned I haven’t worn them yet I’ll do that now after I’ve shown you the socks and of course I’ll knit the rest for my daughter. Speaking of my daughter, I also knitted socks for her. That’s the continuation

Of the sock experiment and I mainly have these two knitted with this yarn, it ‘s this sweet Moomin yarn from Novita, um what’s there to say about it, that’s exactly what I knitted from it, so I basically knitted the main surke and I made this and the cuff, the heel and the

Toe from a four-ply sock yarn with one strand I’ve been knitting it for a while, it was kind of flying around for me, I’m going to write it down like that, it’s not that important here right now I think, but the color goes very well with this stripe,

Even if it’s like a color pop, I found an excuse, yes and that just makes the sock a little more interesting than if you just used this, but I think it would also be good with a white sock yarn here and here or with a matching

Yarn, so you can still use any leftovers The great or special thing about these socks is that I finished them in two hours each. I don’t know, there are probably knitters among you who can knit a children’s sock in size I would say 34 35

Who can knit a children’s sock faster for me This is the last time in my life that I actually started and finished the sock within two hours. Yes, I knitted the first sock in one go, even while my daughter was reading to me and I was sitting next to it. Yes,

I finished it in one evening and I started the second sock yesterday while Eveline was with me and knitted it up to here and then finished it in the evening while my daughter was reading. Yes, my day consists of listening to my daughter and then receiving

Knitting podcasters, obviously and that’s of course only possible because the yarn is thick enough to knit it so quickly and this yarn is thick enough that it has 225 m per 100 g, so that’s even thicker than the one I just showed you should use 4

Mm pieces that I have I didn’t do it, I knitted 3 and a half mm and it wasn’t that tight for me but yes, basically it’s very quick, the colors are very cute, my daughter is totally sorry, I have something on my face here, my daughter is totally

Fascinated by the socks It’s not my colors but these are her colors, she likes them a lot and this wool has moved into my shop, so if you want to make children’s socks or socks for your own, there are still a few balls to buy, so those were my

Sock experiments Which I’m very very happy about and right here for the two socks as I said that’s about size 34 35 so these sock stretchers are too small now these are the ones that my daughter normally uses yes that’s XS um those are that’s size 32 roughly and

These are now so the socks are too big for the sock stretchers so there is at least 1 cm left on them. I really tried to knit them so that my daughter can still wear them next winter. Experiments like that then next topic I hope overwhelm yourself

Not at the speed with which I’m speaking again, um, something like that comes next, next I’ll show what I’ve cast on, not everything but just one thing, namely I cast on my own first impression blah because I really wanted to knit

A certain yarn in my first impression blow and this is the yarn that I also knitted in my blog project in my blog project this is this one from Renny from Scotland or not so I didn’t buy this from Scotland I got it from the dear one Elisabeth bought hello Elisabeth and I

Knit that into my desperate housewife cardigan which, by the way, is still there and waiting for inspiration because I have to recreate all the stripes that I made on my body and that requires a lot of mental capacity from me that I can’t afford at the moment so wait the cardig one

Could theoretically be that I might use it in one color no no no that would destroy it no I’m waiting for the inspiration but this yarn so I still have three three two and a half of

It three and a half or so So I’ve already taken the one that started from the l House Ktigen one, I think, and I have another three and that’s exactly what I wanted to knit my first impression blah and that’s what I’ve started doing now, but not just this yarn, I

Also have another yarn I added this one, which is a silk moher, I think 30% silk and 70% MoH, these were two mini strands that I bought from Elke from Bohai Jans or Elke Bohai in Düsseldorf directly from her when I was there in December and

I wanted to combine them somehow because I love them both so of course I have too short needles, I basically have a needle deficit again because I have too many projects in the works but at least you can see the combination and you can see what I’m actually doing with them here,

I have to Just sorting myself out a bit here and in order to be able to show you something at all, so I have this here so no, it’s not entirely correct the way I show it, this is so this

Is at the front so this is at the front and so at the back I have this I cast on the shortened rows as normal and with the right stitches crossed, you can’t see that well, so I just

Made one cuff with the stitches crossed. At the back, the shortened rows like I just said and instead of the lace pattern I’m making this silk moher here I keep the stripes single-threaded and just knit with the same needle but completely with right and left

Is not true at all, I knit the stripes with stockinette stitch, yes the sweater is knitted with stockinette stitch in principle and here I knit with stockinette stitch as you can see in the picture somehow not so

In the camera not so much that it’s stockinette left somehow or you can see the difference yes you can see that the inside is stockinette right and that’s stockinette left just like that so it ‘s not a special creative achievement en but somehow I thought I I want to do something different

So I’m just knitting here in stockinette purl and I’m not going to do the entire sweater like that but just make these stripes in the round yoke with the silk yarn and then I’m just going to do the rest in this color, maybe I’ll make shorter sleeves or basically no sleeves,

I’ll just leave the round yoke there and shorten it, maybe I’ll chain it off, I have n’t decided yet, but I just think the combination is really, really, really nice and yes, the brown one suits me, the pink one doesn’t really matter I like it, I like it, it’s

A project that I just cast on for fun. Yes, well, I knit everything for fun or almost everything, but that, yes, that’s what I cast on the yarn for fun Project then before I get to the shop update I wanted to

Say a few words about our knitting community and nothing bad at all, vice versa, I love our knitting community, I find it such an enrichment and I’m so amazed that I didn’t know it before, so I am Yes, only three years ago to the knitting community to the global one

I joined the knitting community earlier, so I started knitting when I was six and have knitted a lot, basically over the many years I’ve lived, but mostly I just talked about knitting with someone from my family who also did Coincidentally, my friends didn’t

Knit or don’t knit um and I didn’t even know that there was a ravely or that there was a real community on Instagram that knew each other or that there were designers like me now I really didn’t know, I thought there were instructions in books and magazines

And that was it and well, of course, fashion manufacturers or clothing manufacturers also have fashion manufacturers or clothing manufacturers who also knit clothes, no, they also sew and knit, of course they have their own designers, but I had I couldn’t imagine how big

The community is and about six years ago I somehow discovered what there was and discovered the podcasts and so on and then I completely immersed myself in it and now I’m here and I’m back again and again surprised and touched again by how we always

Stick together and I not only wanted to underline that but also want to share it with you or maybe ask you. I don’t even know how to ask the question, so it ‘s about something that came up for me recently So in my patreon channel one of my one of my

Patreon members gave a hint and then I became more aware of it again and she pointed out that I think Camilla Faht, she meant no, not Camilla Faht, um now of course the name comes to me stupidly not at all that’s stupid that [music] um

I have to look it up because that’s really stupid if you want to give examples and then you can’t name it or say it specifically um exactly and she has us Almost everyone pointed out that Anne Wenzel has cancer or is currently struggling with cancer and that it would be a help for

Her if we bought your instructions and of course I completely agree with that and afterwards I realized that, um During my vlogmas we may have also made a small contribution to the knitting community supporting another designer, namely the designer who

Wrote the instructions for the desperate housewife cardigan for my vlogmas, I would say, that’s it, it’s real It’s bad the name marilyind or that’s how her stage name reads, um yes, I say my stage name when you’re

Sitting in front of the camera then you can’t think of the simplest things like the designer Melanie Berg like Melanie Berg has or at least had cancer and I’m looking back really glad that I chose your pattern for my vlogmas because I know that a few

Of you have also bought the pattern and have either already knitted or are still planning to knit and yes, what I’m getting at I just want to say [music] If you want to support our knitting community then one way to do that is

By, for example, buying instructions from designers from indie designers from small designers and knitting them and talking about them and showing them on Instagram or on YouTube. That’s one It’s a small contribution for each and every one of us,

But overall if you add it all up, I don’t mean the financial aspect but rather this positive energy. So I’ll say it without wanting to get esoteric, but by showing you how to buy patterns from such designers we give you our respect, our interest,

That we support it, that we like it, that we are, um, just um, involved and I think that is very important and not just when buying instructions, of course, that is also basically my, um yes, my approach to everything, for example also

About environmental protection or politics, um in principle I always have conversations with someone about the extent to which each of us can make a difference with our small voice, so to speak, or with our voice that doesn’t weigh much, and I am really convinced that if

Each of us makes a positive difference for ourselves within the framework of what is possible for ourselves, that overall A lot, a lot, a lot of positive things will happen, for example, if I have the opportunity to buy yarns whose manufacturers pay attention to the animal wool or

Pay attention to the crazy pay for the workers who are basically produced green, which are not far away if I have the opportunity For example, to support local yarns or local yarn manufacturers then I do that, especially if that only supports the environment and so on, yes, and because

I talk about it, you might also pay attention to what exactly you are buying or what exactly you are doing, what you are talking about and So I’ll continue and so I just want to just remind us again or draw our attention to the fact that each of

Us, even with such little things as don’t know, buy instructions or share instructions, so share information about something has appeared, share it with someone or someone, for example, the green socks campaign is called, I think, where you

Knit socks with green colors that are then donated to people suffering from cancer. I also find that totally fascinating, so everyone can do it within the framework of their own abilities or possibilities I ‘m not particularly good at making calls like that, I just hope that you understand

What I mean and that you’re still here because now the shop update is coming, so to speak. There are some yarns that have been drawn in, so I ‘m not showing them in principle I just mention that I normally sell yora Spinners yarns and this

Time I have again or now I have stocked up again and there is BFL i.e. the blueface Lester Fließ in decay strength in a few colors there is the Croft i.e. the Shetland wool from West Yorkshire Spinners also in the same size, but I didn’t put as much of it

In or just put it in the shop or took it with me um because spring is coming soon and I didn’t want to have too many warm, very warm yarns because I think that we will soon be looking forward to spring and

Might want to switch to thinner or lighter yarns and so from this perspective I have also taken a few spring colors with me for sock yarns and a few thinner yarns that are good for scarves or lighter clothing, lighter sweaters or cardigans or something similar I can’t use the colors

Of the socks from the sock yarn so I can’t show them so well now because I don’t have them with me or I don’t have them with me. I’ll get them quickly before I

Get to the socks. I’d like to apologize first It’s about to rustle because I have a lot of things in bags and of course I don’t lay them out like that so that they stay intact. I also

Took two completely new colors from The Croft with me, those are these two. I hope that’s what they are. I’ll take them out so that you can see them I think these two go very, very well together, so if one of you is thinking of somehow

Using a combination of green colors, the Croft in these two colors would be well suited, this is a green bank, this is it This color and once heelside, yes, you can use it wonderfully, for example in a fair sweater or colorwork sweater, for example, that would be the main color and

That would be the contrast color and still everything would fit together very well, I think I find it very exciting, so I have a few others of them Combinations that can be found in the shop are missing, but here in any case there are also those

With brown, so to speak, and with others you have to look so then the spring colors for the sock yarn are my favorite socksw signature from W spinas there are these two colors I think it’s really cute and very spring-like, so this color is

Also called spring green, exactly spring green, so spring green and that’s Sunpower ne sunflower sunflower yes exactly a nice yellowish or slightly orange yellow color yes I have these two colors they also go wonderfully together if you like to knit socks for example with

Contrasting colored tips cuffs and heels then they would go well together I have to do that a bit of rearranging so that I can get to the other yarns then I stocked up on this again, I can’t get it out because I

Haven’t unpacked it at all, it’s a beautiful red color it looks different in the photos it’s kenppper so that’s how it is so bright pink-red, a bit almost I hope that you can tell what color it is. Oh, by the way, if you’re

Not interested in buying wool or wool in my shop then of course you don’t have to stick with it, yes I would be very happy to see you next time You can see it in the next video, um, or if you don’t find the wool I’m showing that exciting, please write to me

Below which ones you would find exciting I have a lot of lochlom in my shop recently and these three colors are coordinated again, which I really think they go together wonderfully. This is, as I said, Loch lomont from bcgarn, which is 100% organic wool, so organic organic wool too

God’s certified and therefore, as far as I have read, it is not treated very well. The wool is spun a little differently, um, what it is called, now I have forgotten what it is called, again it is impossible Is it fluffier than it should be for this length in quotation marks

And the running length is 150 m on 50 g and the suggestion is so that’s 300 m on 100 g and here it is suggested to knit with needle size 4 to 5 yes which is a bit thicker than you would actually knit a sports weight yarn like that

And as I said, I think you can work these three together wonderfully if you knit either a fairil or a colorwork sweater or cardigan or a hat or scarf that would be very fluffy and very warm, I have a lot of that in the shop and then I

Bought M for testing. I also bought Lochlomond la for testing. The M looks like that, so it’s actually the same wool and the same workmanship, just thinner the 300 m on 50 g but here too the suggestion is

To knit with two or three I think if you make a shawl out of it then you can also knit with 31 and a half or 4 mm and of course even thicker needles if you use a yarn and It’s nice and thin but still relatively fluffy and it’s

All tweed yarn. Yes , there are also different colored tweet inlets in these two that I showed earlier e.g. so white white black yellow inlets yes that’s a tweet yarn m and in lace I have these two colors they also go together theoretically if you

Like blue so I’m trying to break out of my comfort zone and use blue with yes or just somehow I don’t know about selling it, I wore a lot of light blue as a child, so very similar to this color and at some point I obviously didn’t like it anymore, so

What else can you say about that, it’s color 21, it’s not in the shop yet but it will be I ‘ll be in the shop in the next few days and that’s the color 19 and it will also be in the shop in the next day

So I’m currently in the process of putting the BC yarns or the yarns from BC Garn in the shop and so on again and that last yarn the last yarn I have here is actually a plastic-free sock yarn or is offered as plastic-free sock yarn I think you can

Also use it wonderfully as a yarn for everything else because that’s sorry because that’s like I said, that ‘s before I go on and on about it for a long time I’ll just show you the yarn I have these three colors that match my color palette beautifully and that

Is the lazy linen from creme soulwall, you can see that the light is a bit stupid, it is a relatively thin yarn, i.e. 420 m per 100 g and it consists of 80% wool and 20% linen I mean, it’s a color like

Dyed with avocado with a few darker areas that are based on the fact that linen fibers are not so easy to dye in gray and in green you can’t actually see it, especially in gray you can see it not yes, it’s basically the gray light gray color and it’s this

Beautiful mint green, you can also see a little darker areas that are from the linen or the linen fibers and that’s relatively so a little bit fluffy because of the wool and the linen here There are also little linen hairs sticking out, I say,

Yes, you should knit it with 2 to 3 mm and I think I will use some of it, perhaps the gray one, in a scarf. Yes, I think you can make a wonderful summer scarf out of it or just a spring top Even with short sleeves it will still

Be relatively warm but also atmux active which as far as I know is not super wash treated all natural sock yn made with Ming free wool and Belgium with linen yes in any case it feels very very nice very natural The green would also look very good on me, it definitely suits

My box or fits my box, yes, this color would look really good on me, yes they would all look good on me, that’s why I ordered them. I have some of them not very much but I will probably order some later, yes,

If you are interested in larger quantities of this yarn, as I said, as far as I understand, not super wash or at least without plastic 20% linen 80% wool from kemke soulwool very nice and these are the colors The colors are being discontinued, which really surprises me because I

Think the colors are really great and I’m surprised that the manufacturer doesn’t want to produce them anymore at some point. There are probably still enough out there, but if you like something, write me an email or in the comments if you’re interested Then I’ll order more quickly so that I

Have more in the shop, so that’s it for my little shop update or almost it was that I had put in some circular knitting needles from Chiagu in between, but they’re almost all gone, there’s still a circular knitting needle in size 2.5

I think it’s still there with which you can knit socks very, very, very well if you knit with Magic Loop and there are also ropes for the thicker chagu needles, so if you use chiaguadeln,

You can also use interchangeable chiaguadeln in the shop I’m looking for thicker ropes. The reason I have these ropes is because I ordered the wrong ropes for me. I actually wanted some for eating size, yes, for needles, well, in size 3.5 to 5, but somehow I made a

Mistake could happen one after the other I don’t understand but somehow I made a mistake and ordered the oil needles and they are from 5.5 and higher so if you use thicker chag needles and need straight ropes there are some in my shop that exact and then the last one for Today

The one question I promised would be from a subscriber to a viewer and she asked how I wash plotulopi and whether I um or whether I think that you can’t wash plotolupe in a wool wash cycle NAS washing um yes unfortunately I have to do that say

I wash all my knitted items except socks by hand I just soak them with a bit of wool soap wool detergent um and leave them so I sort them depending on how much I have to wash at the moment I sort them by color s that if I have something hand-dyed

And I’m afraid that the ABF could dye it then I wash it separately otherwise I sort everything by color and yes soak it in lukewarm water so I don’t have cold water but always lukewarm water for an hour about 30 60 minutes maybe

Longer depending on what else I have to do then I carefully squeeze out the water the knitted piece individually, so each knitted piece, knitted piece individually on a cloth, I wrap it in the cloth then usually wrap it again crosswise so that I

Can really squeeze out the water so that the cloth absorbs the water from the knitted piece and then and then um like that I have to hurry now because the power

On the phone is about to go out and then I just lay the things out to dry. I put small pieces of knitting on the wet cloth on the heater so that they both dry at the same time. Yes, that

‘s actually all, so I just wash socks in the wool cycle and only socks that are made with polyester or polyamide, not polyester polyamide, that’s actually it and now before everything gets lost somehow I have to say goodbye for today, um yes, I hope

You had fun, I hope you found something exciting and would like me We ‘ll be happy to see each other again soon and if you subscribe, comment, join my patching channel and we can just continue to exchange ideas, see you soon [music] [applause] [music] bye ه
