So im trying to get comfortable with height and Hurt my thumb on this jump right here, anyone have any tips on why/how the landing hurt so bad from such low height?
Land rear wheel first. Landing rear wheel first gives you the biggest compression length to help soften the fall. If you land both tires at the same time, only your arms and legs are your suspension.
With rear wheel first, your limbs AND your bike act as suspension.
You can also put lower pressure in your tires (as long as your rim doesn’t smack the ground or cause a pinch flat).
You can also try wider tires to help.
But at such a small height, it’s more your technique than parts.
