#クリスマス #フランス #ドイツ
First, we will go to Paris! December 4, 2023 I will be making my last trip of the year. We’ll be traveling through France and Germany over the next 10 days. Now, let’s begin our journey around the Christmas markets! 14 hours and 40 minutes flight to Charles de Gaulle airport on JAL.
I spent most of the flight sleeping… When I woke up, we were already in landing gear. We have arrived! Charles de Gaulle Airport. I would like to go to the hotel now. I’m waiting for an Uber right now. Unfortunately, it’s raining… Drizzling rain is falling.
From the airport to the city of Paris takes about 1 hour by car. Check in to the hotel as soon as possible. The room was smaller than it looked online. I have arrived in Paris! It was a long time! It has been a long time so far…!
It’s been a long time since I’ve had a 12+ hour flight. We will stay two nights at a hotel in the Marais district of Paris! I would like to make a trip to the Christmas market this time, so I would like to make a trip to the Christmas market this time, so
Paris to Strasbourg, France Paris to Strasbourg, France And we are going to Colmar… Then we’ll go to Germany and visit the Christmas markets. Then we’ll go to Germany and visit the Christmas markets. I would like to make it such a week! It’s already dark outside, and it’s raining unfortunately.
We’ll have a little dinner afterwards. I will go to bed early today and enjoy a full day in Paris tomorrow! I will go to bed early today and enjoy a full day in Paris tomorrow! Now, let’s start the Christmas trip VLOG! I am very happy to be here in Paris! I love Paris.
“You look happy…lol” “The streets are beautiful.” I knew it would be fun…! I’m having the most fun traveling around Europe right now! We came to a restaurant that serves Burgundian cuisine in the Marais. Let’s have fun! Cheers! First came the onion gratin soup. Soaking up the cold from the rain…
The beef tartare is quite hearty…! I also asked for beef in red wine from Burgundy, bouffe bourguignon. The restaurant was moderately casual, the food was hearty and delicious. After dinner, I stopped by the bakery across the street from the restaurant. All the sweets look delicious!
I’m going to buy some Éclair and go hotel. It was a long trip, so I decided to go to bed early on day one in Paris. Good morning! Today… I’m going to a cafe called Carrette now.
It was night when I arrived yesterday, so I didn’t recognize it at all, but the streets are lovely! It was night when I arrived yesterday, so I didn’t recognize it at all, but the streets are lovely! Lovely? Yeah. Paris! It’s not that cold. Maybe not as cold as Tokyo. Ah! Look, look, look!
Hm…?” Look! “What?” Darth Vader. “Not invader?” Invader art! There were! We came to “Carrette”, a long-established salon de tete de suite in Paris. We will have breakfast at our second cafe in the Marais, not far from the hotel.
I visited early in the morning because I was told there can be a line at tee time. During the morning hours, you may be able to enter the restaurant without waiting in line. Ordered hot chocolate and pain au chocolat. I wanted to drink this..! “That’s a lot of whipped cream.”
I wanted to drink this! “Wow, it smells so good.” Yeah. It’s so good! “(At last) we are in Paris.” Yes, I’m in Paris. Originally, I didn’t plan to stay in Paris this long. I originally started my trip in France because I wanted to go to the Christmas markets in Strasbourg and Colmar.
I originally started my trip in France because I wanted to go to the Christmas markets in Strasbourg and Colmar. I added an extra night to enjoy Paris. After breakfast, go shopping at “Merci”, a select store in the Marais. I came looking for a Merci original tote bag.
At the entrance are cute Christmas accessories…❤️ Cute..! Cupcake candles. It’s soap..! Merci’s original stationery is available in a wide variety of colors. The diaries look easy to use. Porch. Found! I was looking for this! Tote bags and pouches! There’s also a mini bag. A small one for 19 euros.
A large tote bag costs 35 euros. Cute! “What color do you want?” Is this…? I like that one too… Isn’t the pouch cute? I’d rather have a pouch. This is cute. Some Merci pajamas…! Cute! It’s in the pajama case. 139 euros. Is this…? This is underwear. Like this! Cute! I bought it!
Yeah, well, I’d like to keep it as a souvenir. I decided not to bought a tote bag, but a pouch. I decided not to bought a tote bag, but a pouch. Also, I found this next to the cash register. I bought a notebook! What can I say…
There were some original Merci products, but surprisingly there were a lot of imported selections. There were some original Merci products, but surprisingly there were a lot of imported selections. Anyway, I am satisfied! It’s raining. I got some sleep, so my jet lag is better. My face is all puffy, but…
We are still tired from yesterday’s trip and sleepy… We are still tired from yesterday’s trip and sleepy… “Yeah, I fell asleep for a bit.” Yes, I went back to my room and slept for two hours. We’ll go shopping from here and…
I would like to go to the Christmas market and go near the Eiffel Tower at night! I would like to go to the Christmas market and go near the Eiffel Tower at night! But it’s raining… The weather has been a bit iffy in Paris…
We are now at Sézane, a lifestyle store in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris. It is a brand for Parisiennes who have not yet arrived in Japan. This is a place I had put on my list of places to visit when I get to Paris.
I’m curious about the shelves of knitwear lining the walls… Apparently, you can choose the knit you like by discussing it with the clerk. I picked out a knit I was interested in and tried it on. This clothing store was so cute. But I quit buying clothes because they didn’t suit me.
But I quit buying clothes because they didn’t suit me. But I quit buying clothes because they didn’t suit me. Now I’m off to the nearest chocolate shop. You love sweets these days, don’t you? You’ve been on a sweet tooth lately. Because you haven’t been drinking coffee lately, right?
Because you haven’t been drinking coffee lately, right? “Yes, I only drink water or tea anymore.” So you find the occasional sweet treat tastes good, right? So you find the occasional sweet treat tastes good, right? Let’s buy a little chocolate and eat it. Yeah. Let’s go to the chocolate shop!
The oldest chocolatier in Paris, “Debauve & Gallais” established in 1800. A chocolate specialty store loved by Marie Antoinette. Bonbon chocolates filled with ganache and praline are lined up in rows, each one as beautiful as a jewel…!
Bonbon chocolates filled with ganache and praline are lined up in rows, each one as beautiful as a jewel…! Bonbon chocolates may be purchased by weight. Wow. “It smells so good…” “It smells so good…” Oh, looks delicious..! “Caramel? Chocolate, right?” This? It’s a chocolate paste.
I’ll buy a few things I’m interested in just to taste. I bought it! Let’s try it! Looks delicious. Yeah..! Delicious! “Yeah.” You eat too vigorously! “Yum!” Yeah. I was nervous when I came to France, but so far, the staff at the various stores have been very kind, haven’t they?
I was nervous when I came to France, but so far, the staff at the various stores have been very kind, haven’t they? “I see what you mean.” Yeah. If you greet them with “bonjour,” they are all friendly. “Well, just keep smiling and you’ll be fine for the most part.”
Yeah, people are nice to me. The clerk at the chocolate shop was also very nice. “It’s sunny!” It’s getting sunny! I am glad. What is it, Paris? France? I hear October through March is the rainy season. It’s really beautiful when it’s sunny, isn’t it, the city? We arrived!
I’m kind of hungry, so I’m going to eat lunch. I’m kind of hungry, so I’m going to eat lunch. We came to a nearby diner. Bouillon Chartier, a French restaurant that preserves the traditional Parisian diner. You can enjoy simple but royal French cuisine.
Most dishes are reasonably priced at around 10 euros, and there is a long line at lunchtime. I visited in the evening and was able to enter the restaurant without any problems. Wow! Bolognese. Looks good! Yup! Looks delicious! And this is vegetable soup. Steak! Let’s eat! Oh, it’s delicious.”
This place seems to be some kind of a diner for the masses. “This vegetable soup was 1 euro.” 1 Euro! It’s getting a little cold…! “That’s 8 degrees.” It’s a little cold… The city is so beautiful under the setting sun. Paris is celebrating the Christmas season.
Cambon Street, lined with high-brand stores, is decorated for Christmas. The whole building is decorated like a gift box. chanel…❤️ I headed out to buy myself a Christmas present… I bought it. HERMES Carré 90. The city is getting more atmospheric. Now we are going to the Christmas market in Tuileries Gardens. Here we are!
Interesting! Amusement park! A market in Tuileries Gardens with a mobile amusement park and food stalls. The busiest Christmas market in Paris! Let’s try the churros. Yeah. Churros… It’s a huge volume. Looks delicious! Delicious! The delicious aroma of the food leads us further into the market.
Lots of food stands, including those in the Alsace region. Wow, looks delicious! Panini looks delicious! The sausages grilled over charcoal smell so good… Amazing! It’s like having a Christmas market in a mini amusement park! Lots of fun attractions. Champs Elysees. It’s sparkling with illumination! “Oh! Oh! Come on, together! Oh, Champs Elysees♩
“Oh…it was that “oh” over there.” Wow! Amazing! If we keep walking straight, it means we can get to the Arc de Triomphe. If we keep walking straight, it means we can get to the Arc de Triomphe. L’Occitane and Pierre Hermé collaboration store on the Champs Elysées.
Here you can buy L’Occitane products and Pierre Hermé macaroons. There is a café inside the store, where you can relax and unwind. As a lover of Pierre Hermé macarons, I was sucked into the store… I love these raspberry macaroons…! Glad I got to see Paris unexpectedly. Let’s go to the Eiffel Tower!
“Ah! The Seine!” Seine River. “It’s a pretty muddy stream.” It’s true. It must be because of the rain. Magnet. Cute. Let’s buy this. “Yeah, I think that’s a good idea.” I’ll buy this. I am very satisfied! I enjoyed Paris to the fullest. I’m going to Strasbourg tomorrow.
I have to leave the hotel tomorrow morning around 8:30am. I’d like to go back to the hotel, pack, and go to bed early. I’d like to go back to the hotel, pack, and go to bed early. Good night. Good morning! DAY 3. We have checked out of our hotel and are now heading to Paris East Station! We have checked out of our hotel and are now heading to Paris East Station! Today we will start touring the Christmas markets in earnest! I am looking forward to it! Let’s go!
It’s a beautiful day here in Paris. “It doesn’t look like it’s going to rain today.” Really? I wanted to go sightseeing in Paris on a sunny day… Beautiful. Paris in the morning. “This is the station…?” “It’s so big…” “Is this station…?” I’m not sure I’ll be able to catch the train…
I’m going to take a train called TGV. I bought it online in advance. Arrived at Paris East Station. The train leaves at 9:25, so… 25. This is it! Before boarding the train, I procured some breakfast. We got pressed orange juice and food at the concession stand.
We got pressed orange juice and food at the concession stand. We will be leaving soon! I made reservations in advance this time and got a first class seat! I made reservations in advance this time and got a first class seat! The boarding area is far away… “Ehh… this…”
We will be in car 3. Ah! That way! Looks like this train is articulated. “That’s why the electric board was so different from where we were going.” “This one goes to Colmar.” I see. “Oh… that means…” I have a bad feeling about this. “Does that mean the boarding area is farther away?”
Wow… looks like the boarding area is at the far end. Oh no! Six minutes to departure! Are we there? It’s at the very end… What? I can’t find car 3. What? I can’t find car 3. For some reason, I can’t find our car… We’ll have to ask the station attendant.
I finally got a seat…. We are now 1 hour 46 minutes to Strasbourg. The seats look like this. We were both exhausted from running around the platform…lol Anyway, glad I was able to find a seat…! Arrived! Strasbourg. Tired lol. “It was a tough train ride…” “Look.”
“You think this 1 on the train is car 1…” The landmark is not here. Here it is. You have to see this place. Not over here. Well, it’s over. Let’s go!” I learned. Then we are arriving in Strasbourg! It’s so good! Room for two nights in Strasbourg.
After all, this is the Christmas season in Strasbourg. After all, this is the Christmas season in Strasbourg. There was no lodging available at all, and almost all of it was 100,000 per night. There was no lodging available at all, and almost all of it was 100,000 per night.
There was no lodging available at all, and almost all of it was 100,000 per night. So I looked for lodging and decided to stay here. 80,000 yen for 2 nights, so, well, it was a relatively cheap stay compared to other hotels!
80,000 yen for 2 nights, so, well, it was a relatively cheap stay compared to other hotels! I was able to check in early, and now I would like to go around the Christmas market in Strasbourg!
I was able to check in early, and now I would like to go around the Christmas market in Strasbourg! I was able to check in early, and now I would like to go around the Christmas market in Strasbourg! Strasbourg is on the eastern edge of France It’s a city bordering Germany.
They say it’s the largest city in Alsace. “It looks like a safe place.” “What a nice town!” And. This whole old town of Strasbourg is registered as a World Heritage Site. This whole old town of Strasbourg is registered as a World Heritage Site. I am looking forward to it!
I wanted to come here! Strasbourg and Colmar. Let’s go to Christmas markets from one end to the other! You have about eight Christmas markets, right? Let’s go! Wow! I just saw a man inflating a bicycle here. This is interesting! “Repair tools and air pumps.” “Repair tools and air pumps.”
There’s a lot of bicycles going by. There’s a lot of bicycles going by. We’ve been riding our bicycles lately, so we react to this kind of thing amazingly! We’ve been riding our bicycles lately, so we react to this kind of thing amazingly! Oh…! “Look! Invader art!” Ah! It’s true! Cute, isn’t it?
Strasbourg has a lot of wetlands, so there are a lot of storks. Strasbourg has a lot of wetlands, so there are a lot of storks. It’s a city of storks. Awesome nice city! “It’s something…” “Wow, I feel like the picture quality is getting better.” Really? “It’s kind of dark in Paris…”
It was definitely dark in Paris. Let’s go! I’ve been going with people who I’m sure are on tour. Maybe if we follow behind these people, we can go around the Christmas market. Maybe if we follow behind these people, we can go around the Christmas market.
I knew that with so many people coming, lodging would be expensive… I knew that with so many people coming, lodging would be expensive… It makes sense that it costs 100,000 yen per night. See! Fir trees are for sale! I didn’t know they sold these tiny things.
There was some kind of personal belongings inspection. Wow, look! Wow! Strasbourg in Alsace, the Christmas capital of the world. The buildings are decorated with Christmas ornaments, and the whole city seems to be under the spell of… See! Too cute..! That’s amazing! “Yeah, it’s soooo Christmas!” It’s like a fairy tale.
The world of “Beauty and the Beast”. “Plant lots of small fir trees.” Wow. You know… Strasbourg is the birthplace of the “fir tree”! “What? Really?” Strasbourg started the “fir tree”. Heh. First of all… We came to a small market along the river. The cookies look delicious…! Good!
The selection is typical of a Christmas market. See! They sell cookie molds. This is a real Christmas market. ‘I’ve seen markets in the past with non-Christmas stuff for sale, but lol.’ Yeah, they sold kitchenware and stuff lol. Yeah, they sold kitchenware and stuff lol. Chocolate… cookies…? Looks so delicious ❤️
One of the largest Christmas markets in France since 1570. Markets are held here and there in the old town surrounded by the Ile River. Best for! “To put it mildly?” Yes, the best, to put it mildly. I mean, the city is just too nice…
I love this town so much even without the Christmas market. I love this town so much even without the Christmas market. From here in Strasbourg, I’m bringing back a mug for each city. From here in Strasbourg, I’m bringing back a mug for each city. “What? What do you mean?” It’s a commemorative mug.
“You mean each city has its own original mug?” Yes! It is the Notre Dame Cathedral. Eh! Video? Oh, do you want to take a picture? Christmas market in Cathedral Square under Notre Dame Cathedral. Cute! “They sell magnets!” “It’s a magnet.” Cute! Alsace. Cute Strasbourg magnet: ❤️ Cute, three-dimensional! This is cute.
Yup! I bought it! Storks, too. Too cute! There are all kinds of things! About 4 euros a piece… Wooden ornaments. There are ceramic figurines. “Quality is high!” Yup! The quality is amazing! This is what I was looking for! This is my ideal Christmas market! Do you like it?”
They sell ornaments and Christmas candy. They sell ornaments and Christmas candy. This is the Christmas market, you know! That’s super awesome! The Christmas market I had envisioned is now here…! Finally, it felt like Christmas TRIP had begun! Cute ❤️ Ornaments. Wow look! It looks like this.
This is how you buy them in the basket. Hey awesome! Christmas lovers, you should definitely come here at least once in your lifetime! “It’s not like any other place I’ve been.” Notre Dame Cathedral is amazing! Yeah. “It’s like a marble without the joints.” Yeah.
The overwhelming beauty of Notre Dame Cathedral is a sight to behold! It is said to be made of red sandstone quarried from the Vosges mountains in northeastern France. It’s getting colder, so I’ll pick up a hot drink and some pretzels. Merci! What is this…? Orange wine? Yum! Pretzel!
This is white wine and orange! “You’ll get drunk…” Hot wine soaks into a chilled body… Happy ❤️ “Everything in town is Christmas.” It really is like the world inside a picture book… Good point… lol. The world that opened the picture book. “Yes, this is the second time…”
We came to Place Kléber, where there is a big fir tree. Amazing! “I think I’ve never seen a tree this size with ornaments properly made that size.” “I think I’ve never seen a tree this size with ornaments properly made that size.” “This size usually just lights up.”
The Christmas tree has a distinctive presence in the plaza. Its height is 30 meters. The ornaments are also well decorated. Found a lovely candle in Alsatian ceramics. I decided to buy one small candle to commemorate the event. I found a cute Christmas store near Place Kléber. I came to a souvenir shop.
I’d like something like this. Cute! Alsatian stork mug. It says Strasbourg. Isn’t this cute? Cute! Which one shall I choose? I also want a snow globe! I bought ornaments and snow globes named after Strasbourg. Once back at the hotel, I took a nap for an hour or two. I woke up and realized…
The Christmas market is open until 8 p.m. on weekdays, apparently. The Christmas market is open until 8 p.m. on weekdays, apparently. It’s 5:30 p.m. We have to hurry. It looks like the Christmas market will be closing in an hour and a half!
Well, we did a lot of looking around during the day, so maybe we’ll get some food or something. Well, we did a lot of looking around during the day, so maybe we’ll get some food or something. The old town looks different after sunset than it does in the daytime.
Illumination adds to the beauty of the cityscape. Order a hot drink for the Strasbourg mug. Wow! Strasbourg mug. I got it! Cute! Tiny Mag. Inside is hot chocolate. Delicious! This is how I will collect them from now on. I decided to buy some hot food at one of the most popular food stalls.
Choose pasta or fries and get sausage with sauce on top! Choose pasta or fries and get sausage with sauce on top! Looks delicious! This is probably a specialty of Alsace. Pasta with creamed sausage on top. Let’s eat. “Delicious?” The sausage is delicious! “This…
“It’s not just on the outside, it’s shining from the inside out.” The ornaments also have a nice depth to them. Definitely the most beautiful tree I’ve ever seen. Hey, Look! I found a boot-shaped mug. I knew I had to decide on one mug per place.
Otherwise, I’d have to take a lot of mugs home with me. So I ordered this in a plastic cup. “You said (the cup) was a deposit.” Yes, if you return the cup, you get your money back. Wow, great! It’s a material to put on a wreath. “I see.” Wreaths for sale.
I want to try this. Marshmallow chocolate? I bought the coconut flavor. It has fluffy marshmallows in it! Tasty! Amazing! They even sell electric lights. I want one of these. This snow globe. I think you have to buy these things if you want to buy them. I bought a sparkling snow globe.
I wanted it. “Good for you.” Look at these pretzels. Some have ingredients on top of the pretzel. I found something delicious at a food stall at the back of the Blogli Square…! My stomach was growling, but I couldn’t resist ordering it lol. Wow.
The meat looks like something out of a comic book. The meat looks like something out of a comic book. Pork… potatoes… And it is covered with sauce. 21 euros, drinks included. Looks delicious! Let’s eat. Wow, it’s soft! It’s so good! Oh, it’s delicious! Oh, it’s delicious!
The best street food I’ve had on this trip. “It’s like Tong Po Lo.” From day to night, we enjoyed a day at the Strasbourg Christmas Market. What I bought today. I bought some Strasbourg-related items and some Christmas items. Good morning! I would like to take the train to Colmar. It’s cold.
“It’s cold today.” It’s cold. Minus 1 degree. “My hands are biting.” From Strasbourg to Colmar, about 30 minutes by train. We will take a day trip to Colmar. I could sit down! “You look happy…lol” It’s 30 minutes from here. We have arrived at Colmar!
Colmar is said to be the setting of “Beauty and the Beast” and “Howl’s Moving Castle. Colmar is said to be the setting of “Beauty and the Beast” and “Howl’s Moving Castle. This is the sign for the Christmas market. This way. Fir tree! Fir tree for sale.
Surprisingly, you can get it for like 32 euros. Ah! Someone is actually buying…! How do they pack it? Put them in the net! Let’s have a look. Wow! So that’s how you bring it home. That’s awesome lol. Interesting. It’s a culture we don’t have in Japan. Maybe it’s more colorful than Strasbourg. Yeah.
The house is colorful. In Colmar, as in Strasbourg, the whole town is decorated for Christmas. Cute. I like the feel of this one too. The atmosphere is different again. That way! It’s amazing. There’s so many people… It’s more rustic than Strasbourg. The feeling of this stall is also rustic. Nougat looks delicious!
Sounds delicious. I’d like to try it. Let’s buy it. Let’s eat later. The sound of bells… What time is it? “12 o’clock.” The Alsace region is a mixture of French and German cultures. The most fairy-tale town of them all is Colmar.
The colorful wooden frame buildings stand side by side like a fairyland. Amazing! It really looks like a stage set! More people than in Strasbourg… More people than in Strasbourg… They sell aroma oils and essential oils. Maybe it’s similar to the choice of Christmas markets in Finland. Jam.
Colmar is cold, so we’ll start with a hot drink… Cute. It says Colmar. Try it. “Apple honey?” With alcohol? No alcohol? “Yeah, it’s good.” Delicious! “It’s so warming!” “It’s so warming!” I wanted to eat this. Kugloff! Originating in Alsace. I bought some Colmar souvenirs at that souvenir shop in the back.

I’m going to take a break. We had lunch and took a break. No, it’s kind of amazing… there are so many people… “There are so many people, I’m stuck…” The town is lovely. It’s like a tiny version of Strasbourg… The city is so colorful. It’s so pretty. But…there are so many people!
There are more people than the city can tolerate, even though it’s a weekday. Let’s buy pretzel ornaments. This is cute. Colmar is a small but lovely town. I could explore the whole city in about three hours. I felt like I was in a theme park as I enjoyed Christmas in Colmar.
Back to Strasbourg. I had too much fun in Colmar and I’m tired lol. Cold! Arrived! Strasbourg. Is it… drizzling? “Wow, it’s cold.” Cold! Glad I came home a little early. If I had stayed in Colmar all night, I would have caught a cold.
If I had stayed in Colmar all night, I would have caught a cold. We’ll be on the move starting tomorrow… Today is a physical preservation day. Let’s get something to take out and go back to the hotel. Good morning! Strasbourg is 7:45 in the morning. The sun has not yet risen.
We are leaving France today for Germany. I am now going to a city called Stuttgart. First, take an Uber to the station! We’re about to leave… But only for Stuttgart, no platform number is shown. But only for Stuttgart, no platform number is shown. And… well…
There are people waiting around this hall who will be on that train! There are people waiting around this hall who will be on that train! The reason we are not so upset is …

The decorations on top of these stalls are being decorated for a contest, so all the stalls are decorating with great care. The decorations on top of these stalls are being decorated for a contest, so all the stalls are decorating with great care.

The decorations on the stalls were so gorgeous that I could not take my eyes off them…! Look at that! Here’s another Nutcracker… The attention to detail is amazing. Fun! I thought Strasbourg was great, but… Germany has gone above and beyond! Stuttgart’s market is large in scale!
Enjoy the endless market while walking at a leisurely pace. Ah! I want to go to this one. I bought it! I had a lot of cute ones, but I figured this would be the best… I had a lot of cute ones, but I figured this would be the best…

“Were there three kinds?” Yeah. Red and… black and… Those are both smooth textured mugs. Only a couple of people had these ceramic mugs. I looked for it with all my blood. Then I sensed that people I passed were wondering where they could get these mugs.
Then I sensed that people I passed were wondering where they could get these mugs. I would like to go to the Christmas concert at 6:30pm after this. I would like to go to the Christmas concert at 6:30pm after this. Maybe there will be a concert in here. Let’s take a look. See!
“This is the place, right?” There is a stage. Concerts are held every night during the Christmas period in the courtyard of the old palace. I was craving something sweet after watching the concert. I’ll buy a crepe and go back to the hotel. Wow..! Look. Looks delicious! Marshmallow Nutella Crepe. Stuttgart magnet.
This is good, right? Let’s buy this. It was starting to rain, so I thought I’d go back to the hotel. Isn’t this Emil Hotel the best hotel to go to the Christmas Market? That’s next to the Christmas market. This hotel is the best!

I reserved a 1st class seat this time, but this train was unreserved. Nuremberg is 2 hours away. I was worried because we were traveling by train a lot this trip, but I guess because I booked a first-class seat, I was able to sit comfortably.
I was worried because we were traveling by train a lot this trip, but I guess because I booked a first-class seat, I was able to sit comfortably. On the way we passed through an area with snow on the ground.
I suddenly remembered last year’s trip to Finland. It’s already been a year since then… We have arrived in Nuremberg. Nuremberg is awesome! The city is big. Now I’m going to a hotel 11 minutes away on foot. We’re here. Hotel where we will stay tonight.
We checked into our hotel for one night in Nuremberg. That’s great! “It’s so spacious.” It has a little kitchen… The ceiling is also high. There is a bed. Bathrooms are spacious! It’s a lovely hotel. Plus, you can go to the Christmas market right away. It is in a very nice location!
Now, let’s go around the Christmas Market in Nuremberg! Nuremberg’s Christmas Market is said to be the most famous in the world! That’s why there are so many visitors. “Ah, so many people.” About 2 million people are coming. Nuremberg is a walled city.

“Yeah, so when we arrived in Nuremberg and went into the wall-like area, it all at once became this kind of cityscape.” A different feel from yesterday’s Stuttgart. I heard that the Christmas market in Nuremberg has a red and white border on the roof like this.
I heard that the Christmas market in Nuremberg has a red and white border on the roof like this. I heard that the Christmas market in Nuremberg has a red and white border on the roof like this. Cute. “It looks like Moominmamma’s apron.” It’s true.
And the Nuremberg Christmas Market said to eat Nürnberger. And the Nuremberg Christmas Market said to eat Nürnberger. And the Nuremberg Christmas Market said to eat Nürnberger. We should definitely eat that. There are two venues for Christmas markets in Nuremberg. There are two: the main central plaza and the children’s market.
First, let’s look at the children’s market near our hotel. This is a famous candy, isn’t it? Yes, this is famous. It’s called a lepkuchen… Röpkuchen is a baked good made with spices, flour, and nut powder. Amazing! The market in Nuremberg is… It’s the Christmas market with the most people!
Walking from the Children’s Market, we arrived at the main venue. Let’s eat Nürnberger. Yeah! I’m hungry. “Oh! Isn’t this it?” Which one…! Right. Ah! This? Let’s buy it! Looks delicious! “It smells soooo good.” Yeah! The bread looks good too! I’ll try the Nürnberger. Looks so delicious! It’s so good!
The bread is delicious. “Nürnberger?” Yeah! And this tree ornament is adorable… Like this. I like the Nutcracker too… If I had seen this when I was a kid I think I would have gone crazy. I loved these dollhouses as a child! I almost bought this adorable miniature. There is a tiny ornament: ❤️

Out of the Christmas Market… We walked for about 20 minutes. We will go to eat Japanese food. “But you know, all I’ve been eating is sausage, potatoes, and bread, so I feel like eating rice at least at night…”
“But you know, all I’ve been eating is sausage, potatoes, and bread, so I feel like eating rice at least at night…” Yeah, yeah. “Also, the restaurants near the Christmas market are so crowded that you can’t get in at all anymore.”
“Also, the restaurants near the Christmas market are so crowded that you can’t get in at all anymore.” People were lining up to eat at the restaurant. There were! Don’t forget to get a Nuremberg mug! Almond pastry Gebrande Mandeln. I bought it. The almond one I was wondering about. “4 euros”
I want to eat banana chocolate. Yes… I’m at a loss for words… I’m tired…” Yeah. LOL. There were so many people, we couldn’t walk on the level… “Hmmm.” So I bought… Chocolate banana. It’s like a Japanese festival. And this… It seems to be a staple of German food stalls. Almond sweets.
It has almonds inside like this. I heard this one has a cinnamon or chocolate coating on top… I heard this one has a cinnamon or chocolate coating on top… I wonder what this is. Like caramel… Delicious. How much longer…? We’re almost… Only Dresden and Munich..! Only Dresden and Munich..!
I’ve been working hard for this Christmas market tour for the past year, and this Christmas trip is coming to an end in just a few days… I’ve been working hard for this Christmas market tour for the past year, and this Christmas trip is coming to an end in just a few days…

Come on, let’s go to Dresden! Let’s go! The train ride from Nuremberg to Dresden takes about 4 hours. First, we’ll head to the Leipzig train station for our transfer. We’ve arrived at the transfer station. Next, we’ll change trains on the opposite platform. I’m on the opposite platform. This…
I’ll be on the train to Dresden. It’s nice to stay in one place and get to know that place in depth, but… It’s fun to visit so many places and find the differences. This trip, like my past year, is one of moving around a lot and discovering new things. Dresden!
We rode the train for 4-5 hours. Have you slept a lot?” Yeah. Then let’s go to the hotel! “Yeah, it’s a short walk.” OK. In Dresden, we will stay at the Pullman Hotel near the train station. It’s good! The size and… Cleanliness. We will stay here for one night!
I was hungry, so I had lunch at an Italian place near the hotel. Now, off to the Christmas Market in Dresden! Dresden’s Christmas market is said to be the oldest in the world. The main one is 800 meters away, but there’s already a food stall.

Christmas Market in Dresden. I think the crowd is just right…! “There were too many people yesterday…lol” I can watch it slowly. Ah! Cute!
That’s amazing! Beautiful! The first Christmas market in Dresden was held in 1434. That’s why it’s called the world’s oldest, and why the Nutcracker and Stollen all started here. Wow! It feels the most cohesive. And the decorations on the stalls are kind of quaint. And the decorations on the stalls are kind of quaint.
I kind of like it a lot. It’s probably my favorite thing I’ve ever done in Germany. Nice atmosphere. Let’s take a look inside. They also sell the almond snacks I had yesterday. “It has a wasabi flavor.” Wasabi…? So cute! See! “It’s the most delicate creation.” “It’s the most delicate creation.”

I also bought incense with it for 32 euros. The decoration on top is really amazing. Wow!” This is my personal favorite. Cute. Cute. Dresden sells a lot of decorations and ornaments made of wood. Looks good… The drinks and food at this stall look delicious!
This is a northern German winter dish called Knacker, a stew of sausage and kale (grünkohl). I love this place! I think this might be my favorite Christmas market ever. Dresden is the birthplace of Christmas masterpieces and famous confections.
Perhaps it is because of this pride that the venue is so well organized and the atmosphere so enthusiastic. They also seem to sell Stollen, which originated in Dresden. Look at Stollen! It’s so big! They said it was like 1 kilo…! One or two kilos…
This mug is so cute, I’m making an exception and getting a second one. And this one has a different pattern. And it says 2023. Yay! I’m curious about this stall… This is a Hungarian specialty, “langos. Deep-fried dough topped with sour cream and cheese. Hm…?” Like focaccia…? “Yes.” “Lots of garlic”
“garlic sauce and lots of cheese” The garlic taste is stronger than expected! It’s rather spicy.. “Well, but does it sound like it would go well with wine…?” Yeah, I know. It’s salty. Already alcohol based. It’s food made on this set base. Good morning!
We have checked out of our hotel and are now on our way to Munich. We have checked out of our hotel and are now on our way to Munich. We’re in the northern part of Germany and we’re going back down…. LOL! I checked a lot of airplanes and…
There’s also the fact that the flight from Munich was the cheapest. Munich has a lot of things to see and do. Lastly, I would like to stay in Munich for about two days to complete this Christmas market tour!
Lastly, I would like to stay in Munich for about two days to complete this Christmas market tour! I got a Dresden magnet at the bookstore in front of the station. Breakfast… Pizza. Cola. From Dresden to Munich takes about 6 hours including transfers. This is the last long-distance trip.

How much was it for two? “10 euros” I ordered without buns. Because we might still eat something. Tornado fries, which had the longest line in the plaza. It’s got some kind of paprika salt on it. Delicious! I don’t know… Maybe it wasn’t a cold. Maybe it was an allergy.

I’m going to buy some Kneipp bath salts. Good morning. Today is a full day of sightseeing in Munich! I’d like to go to a cafe for breakfast first. I came here to try the famous fried bread called “Schmalznudel”. Look, it looks good.
I heard they eat it with as much sugar as they want. Ah…! This seems to be the most popular menu item. Like fried bread. Delicious! “Crunchy type?” Yeah. Light on the palate. Until the early 19th century, this area was the Kingdom of Bavaria, ruled by the Wittelsbach family.
As the capital of the kingdom, Munich still has palaces and churches associated with the royal family. We also look for the customary magnets in Munich. This is cute, isn’t it? “There is such a thing.” Uh… Cute. “How’s that?” Yeah, it’s cute. Maybe it’s better this. I wanted this. Beer candles. Pretzel socks.
Let’s buy this. How much…? 13 euros. It’s raining. Again… “It looks like it’s going to rain all over Germany today.” Germany also has a lot of rain… I want a taste not found in Japan. “Isn’t this… the one they say is the worst tasting in the world?” These gummies? “Ornament” Eh! Cute!
HARIBO Ornaments. This is interesting. Waffle gummies. “I want to eat this.” That looks delicious. I want to eat this. Berries. This looks delicious! All about 1 euro or so. Let’s buy these three. Lunch will be at Altes Hackerhaus, a long-established beer restaurant dating back to the 18th century.
That’s your first beer in Germany…! Cheers! Cheers! Oh, it’s so good!” Oh, it’s so good!” I ordered the German-style cutlet schnitzel. What is that…? “To sausage…” “Cabbage…?” “Sour… tastes like pickles” “The best I’ve had in Germany.” We’ve come to Dallmayr, Munich’s premier food store.
Founded 1700 years ago, it used to be a food store for the Bavarian royal family. On the first floor of the store, foodstuffs, chocolate, coffee, etc. are sold. I found some chocolates that look just right as souvenirs. The one in the can. 14 euros.
Dallmayor is all about coffee. You can buy it by weight or in cans with limited edition packaging. Dallmeyer’s Coffee… Why don’t you just buy it and go home? I was about to say. “I’m abstaining from coffee…” I know. There was a cafe on the second floor, so we decided to take a break.
You can enjoy Dallmeier’s signature coffee and cakes! Whenever I find a raspberry cake, I eat it. My favorite flavor: ❤️ Framboise Moose. The chocolate cake that the guy sitting next to me was eating and it looked delicious. “Oh! Yum!” Delicious, isn’t it? Coffee is best for this.
“I haven’t had coffee in a long time.” You were abstaining from coffee, but… Delicious! You have to have a cup of coffee when you walk into this quintessential café. Delicious… The best late afternoon. Now that I’m in Germany, I’m going to take a look at Steiff’s stuffed animals.
Now that I’m in Germany, I’m going to take a look at Steiff’s stuffed animals. The doorknob is a teddy bear, too! Cute…❤️ Steiff is a top quality German brand of plush toys. I want to buy one as a souvenir of my trip to Germany. Oh, it’s so cute… There’s a Disney one.

Accessories are also a bit vintage. Here’s what I’d like to drink… It’s a drink called Fire Tsangenbole. Well, this is…
Put a lump of sugar on the apparatus, pour rum over it, light it. Put a lump of sugar on the apparatus, pour rum over it, light it. They say it is mixed with rum. When the sugar dissolves and falls into the glühwein with the rum, they mix it well and drink it.
